How did you get into Zelda?

My first Zelda game was Ocarina of Time. I got it around my birthday three years ago for the Nintendo64. I bought the guide for it (well, the GCN collectors edition guide) and played through it. After i beat it i wondered if there were any others. I later borrowed Link's Awakening DX from my brother's friend's dad, and we had a long dispute over what system it was for (i didn't know why.) He thought it was for color, but the cartridge clearly said game boy, and it is playable on game boy as it has that indentation on the corner. he says "well why is it in color?" i told him that if you played it on a newer system it would appear as color, but the Game Boy couldn't render that much color so it made it into the GB's greens, blues, reds, whites, and blacks (or whatever colors it had.) I think he was just pulling my leg.

After I returned that game, my family and a friend from West Virginia (this being the persson i slept with panther) went to Disneyworld. On the way we stayed at many of my mom's old friends houses to avoid the hotel bills :P and we stayed at one house of a married couple (don't remember the names) who were obsessed with video games and they had a kickass computer. I didn't get to use the computer, but i did get my first play at windwaker and i played Oracle of Ages. they also had Seasons but i didn't really want to play it. I wish i bought Ages off them :( they also had the guides for each oracle game :(

When we returned home I bought me a copy of Oracle of Seasons, and the christmas of that year I got Legend of Zelda on the GBA. On my birthday, the following year, I got SSBM from my grandmother (woo!) and Luigi's Mansion from my mom (i still remember when i opened it, she hid it inside a pair of pants in a clothes box from JC Penny. she does that every christmas). With the money i had gotten from family i bought me the Four Swords/ALttP joint game. I was addicted to ALttP as i played it at my summer day camp the previous year (They had every system imaginable including the NES and all the way back to this black and white game system like the "vectro" or "vetrex" or something, where they had this running bunny game for it, and now i want the animorphs game they had for the PS1.)

Over that summer my aunt and uncle-in-law (if there is such thing) got a gamecube. We traded NFL 05 to them for the Legend of Zelda: Collectors Edition collection (my uncle is obsessed with The Patriots.)

The following Christmas I recieved The Wind Waker, and i hibernated upstairs in my parents's room playing it. I remember i was on windfall or whatever it was and my dad came in and dragged me downstairs. That's pretty much where i stand as of today. I got TP a day before i got Wii around the 29th of November last year. I lost my OoS game and bought a new one in addition to Link's Awakening DX last friday. That's my history of zelda! :D

I also stole my friend John's copy of LoZ off his Animal Crossing file :D

I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS
Got an N64 when I was in 2nd grade. How old is that... Like 7 I guess. I got Mario 64 and Diddy Kong Racing, but... Eh. One day I rented OOT and thought it looked cool. I couldn't find the freaking sword in the stupid hole in Kokiri Forest. So I instead played a file that was left by someone else, saved right outside of Kokiri Forest in Hyrule Field. It was night and those stalchildren popped up. I kept trying to kill them and they kept coming. I didn't exactly understand what the heck was going on. So I hated the game at first.

Then, a year or so later, I was looking online about games, and came across OOT online again. I read about it, read how to find the freaking sword, and read about some other stuff, like the family that was turned into skulltulas, and also the cucco lady. I imagined the cucco lady was like the skulltula family and had a chicken on her head, but I guess I was wrong, hahah. XD Anyway, after reading a ton of stuff about OOT, I bought it.

Then after buying it, Jabu-Jabu's Belly annoyed the heck out of me. I didn't understand that I was supposed to pick Ruto up and place her on the freaking buttons. Well I eventually found out... And then I went to get that Song of the Sun. Guess what? ZOMBIES! They freaked me out. I think my dad got me through it, I don't remember. but I hated them. Then I became adult Link, and wtf... MORE ZOMBIES?! I'd either mute the music or make my dad or someone get me through Hyrule Castle Town because I hated the zombies. And then... Shadow Temple. I went to the Gerudo Fortress and played as far as I possibly could in the Spirit Temple... And I gave up on the game for a while. XD

Quite a while later, after I'd even gotten my playstation and beat some Final Fantasies as well as beating some earlier Zeldas, I returned to OOT and played the whole thing. The zombies didn't bother me anymore so I played straight through. Took me like 3 days - it wasn't a thing where I was playing constantly, it just took 3 days.

Hmm.. My friend got Link's awakening but I played like 5 minutes, but didn't like it much. I was like 8. Then he god A link to the past, wich I liked and played and finished. Then he got ( Yeah, I started playing when HE got the games ) Ocarina of time, wich we played and completed, and that's when I started buying the games. Ocarina of time, Majora's mask, Wind waker, etc.

I first got into Zelda in the 1st grade. My babysitter had A link to the Past, and I use to skip school to play it. Ever since, Zelda has been one of my favorite franchises. But after Ocarina of Time, it IS my favorite franchise.

It all started in 5th grade (Late 2001). I just moved into a new school and my new friend introduced me to Majora's Mask. I've been a fan of Zelda ever since.

Got AlttP for SNES. I ended up trading the SNES and all the games on it for a N64 + OoT, got MM for christmas later, got a Gamecube, borrowed WW from a friend but I didn't like it, got the Zelda collector's edition for Gamecube, got TP on Gamecube in January.

I was watching my brother play OoT for the first time and then I decided to make my file when he wasn't playing. I got MM next and it wasn't really that great so I kept playing OoT and I stayed away from other Zelda games for a while until I got WW and I started to play that and beat it at least 5 or 6 times, and I quit playing all Zelda games for a while until I got TP.

Eat Cheese or Die Trying
Gather round, children, and I shall tell you a story of hope and despair.

Long long ago in the 1990s, my family had a square-ish box called the NES or Nintendo Entertainment System. I played several games on it, but I was in sixth grade I received something called the Nintendo 64. The first games I played were Mario 64 and Star Fox 64. But then a magical thing happened--my parents bought Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I quickly beat it a few times, and then moved on to the game Majora's Mask. Yes, Zelda brought much hope and a brighter world. But it also seized whatever was left of my sanity and made me form my own RPG.

There you go, kiddies. Sheesh, I feel old. MM came out when I was in eighth grade.

Might have played some of the older Zeldas for NES and SNES but I'll never know because I can't remember playing them, was very little. I do remember owning them however.

OoT, tried MM but didn't like it.

That's about all of my Zelda history-unless you wanna include SSB XD
I know I haven't been the best. I know what I've done. Please let me vindicate myself.

I've been dying on the inside, never showing on the outside. I've been crying for so long and never tears can produce because they've all been spent upon you. Every moment fades and it transitions into thoughts of you. Life, death; both are synonyms without you. This unbearable pain, I now understand-please let me mend those pieces of the heart I've shattered with all I can and show you who I really am . . .

-I love you and I always have.
