Sorry for the DP, (couldn't see the edit button) DM being mod is bittersweet for me. DM posts a-lot, so we'll know she'll monitor everything, but she tends to do the semi-spam tactic, where when one posts to obviously get their post-count up, but it's done legally, understand? Besides, people that have been aspiring and waiting longer deserve it more. |

I know a few others who do that (or did that) as well, Cheesy. ;) Anywho, its not who's been here longest its who would do the best job. If Aaron was here on day 1, that doesn't mean he should be mod. Being mod is not a present, it is a job. |

I know, that's how I can recognise it so quickly! Hard to say what I mean, but I'm trying to say is to not overlook older members and go with a new member all because she posts a crap-load and seems nice, other people do that, with-out the crap. |

I have to side with Cheese_lover on this, actually. No, I don't post to get my post count up because I don't believe that it's a proper reflection on one's dedication to a forum. It could be, of course, but I know lots of sites where people post tons and in the end they really don't do anything. I try to make my posts actually say something, but it's really the forum games where my count comes from. The games increasing post count was reinstated just a day or two after I joined. I'm not saying that I am not a good member simply because I post alot, though. I also think that people who don't post at all would not be qualified for the position because they have not been interacting with the members as much. As for Cheese_lover's point: I am a new member. I don't think that I should be mod right now because there are plenty more people who have been here longer and know the ways of HF better than me. Of course, don't totally scratch me out for all eternity. |

Thank you, Cheese_lover. I am very flattered that I was even nominated after being here for so short of time. I dedicated myself to two other forums twice in my life (besides my own of course) where I was an active members for months and helped people out by offering (good) advice. In the end I got nothing. So I was utterly shocked when I found that I had two votes.  Thanks.
