The plethora of masks in MM is okay, and sometimes they're fun to collect, but the storyline of OoT was the best ever. Until, perhaps, TP. |

OoT was my first Zelda to be honest. I tried MM and I got completely turned off by it. I liked playing as Adult Link and being able to switch back and forth between the two. |

I know I haven't been the best. I know what I've done. Please let me vindicate myself. I've been dying on the inside, never showing on the outside. I've been crying for so long and never tears can produce because they've all been spent upon you. Every moment fades and it transitions into thoughts of you. Life, death; both are synonyms without you. This unbearable pain, I now understand-please let me mend those pieces of the heart I've shattered with all I can and show you who I really am . . . -I love you and I always have. %mh%10%mh% | |

MM had much better characters. But OoT is better. |

Wait a minute. How in the heck is MM being defined as the hardest Zelda game? Is this from a ton of Nintendo magazines and reviews, or is this just your opinion? Because for me, MM is freaking easy. It doesn't even have golden skulltulas everywhere in the world, they're just in these two different little house places, so the sidequests aren't even all that hard. I think all the Zelda games are really easy for the most part, but personally, I'd say that one of the handheld Zeldas is probably harder. OOT, MM, WW, TP are all pretty easy. Maybe WW could be the hardest because it takes forever to go everywhere and do everything on every freaking island, but I really don't see how MM could possibly be the most difficult. Of course, all easy/hard crap is totally biased and there's no facts on that. Just statistics of what people think is easiest and hardest. Ah well. ___ I prefer OOT over MM, but it's probably because I played it first and got used to it first. Everyone loves the first more than the second that they play usually because it's what they're used to, and they aren't satisfied if they remove their favourite things from their past games. Crap like that. Plus, OOT is so popular because it made a big difference, it was a first for the Zelda series. MM, WW, TP are great and all, but if one of those had been the first 3D Zelda, that one would probably be the uber popular one instead of OOT. Now, if someone goes and plays TP before OOT, I bet you the person will veeery likely love TP over OOT. Look at L, for example. He played the later Zeldas before OOT and all, and he likes the later ones better. Video game love is totally biased like that and that's how it is. Meh. When I think about it, I can't choose favourites. I'd hate to play only one of them forever because it'd get boring. There's no game I want to play more than any other, the games are like food - one day you want a certain game, the next you want a different game. I don't see the point in picking favourite games. A favourite SERIES, perhaps, but a favourite game from a series? I can't choose. |

Its widly considered to be the hardest zelda game, next to Adventure of Link. and no i dont like the later zelda games to the new ones. although Link's Awakening is by far my personaly fav zelda game, or is it majora's mask...meh, hard to pick, never the less both broke away from the normal liner zelda gameplay. |

You prefer TP to OOT, correct? And link, please. I'd like to see where it's widely considered the hardest, because that sounds like BS. But hey, I guess judging the hardest Zelda game is hard. Out of the more recent ones, I think they're all pretty closely matched in difficulty. They each have their easy parts and hard parts, but eh. I had no problem with MM, especially if you use the reversed song of time to slow things down. |

Hard to say, TP or OoT, both are good games but lack alot of things...hmm i'll go with TP due to improved game engine.
A link to what exacty? opinions? fair enough: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of...Majora%27s_Mask (scroll down to the Reception section:) "According to Famitsu, "The difficulty level of the game is drastically improved [from Ocarina of Time], the limited saves, and the time limit to finish the game all help to make the game more enjoyable to play"" http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/n64/review/R31663.html "Challenge - 10 - Many people complained about OoT’s lack of challenge. This game takes care of that aspect. Each of the four bosses are fairly difficult and provide a lot more fun than fighting an amoeba. Unfortunately, the final boss is not that hard, but only if you use the spectacular Fierce Deity Mask. The dungeons themselves are large, complex, and very challenging. Some might find it frustrating, but I enjoy them (remember level 9 of the original game? It’s no more complex than that). But the true challenge lies in the subquests. Getting every heart container without a guide is next to impossible, and it will take you a while to figure out how to finish your notebook or collect every mask. The best part is, this is all optional, making the challenge depend on you. That is the way it should be. Enemies seem a bit harder as well. For instance, Lizardfos was upgraded to a meaner and nastier version. This is the hardest Zelda game since Zelda II, and it raises the game a notch." now i could go on and find a bunch of topics on certain gamefaqs zelda boards asking which zelda game is the hardest(3d zelda games) majority of the answers will be MM. but if you expect me to go looking into the gamefaqs archive to prove a point, then your going to be disappointed. |

Meh. Whatever you say. You yourself should be one to know that reviews don't always mean much. They really like to beef things up, anyway. I don't see much difficulty in OOT or MM. Maybe if they put more dungeons in MM I could respect it more, but saying it's the hardest of the Zelda series isn't saying much. Harder than OOT, probably. Difficult in the first place, no. Difficult for a gaming newbie, I guess. |
