Hey, I didn't vote.

And Rudy Guiliani, from what I know, is the best republican candidate up there. But hey, I don't know 'em all that well...

Seriously, Panther. Shouldn't we try to keep a political topic clean from crap like "lawlz ur candidate sawkz" crap? Just a suggestion. >_>

Nobody is allowed to bash political stuff, Panther. It's rules on here, respect each others opinions and all that crap. Doesn't matter if you're the admin, we all have to obey it. ._.; No big deal, though. I'm just saying, please try not to start anything...

RIKID FOR PRESIDENT.

Barack Obama, for obvious reasons.

Rudy Guliani
His "let's sweep our problems under the rug" plan in NYC worked wonderfully, and he was canonized as the second coming of Christ after 9/11, because, well, anyone standing in NYC near a flag on CNN that month is a hero. It's true - didn't you get that memo?

Tom McCain
A man whose views are available for purchase by the highest bidder? No thanks, I'd rather live under the rule of Britney Spears.

Mitt Romney
I do know that if you ask a republican, they will say Romney's policies have "evolved". If you asked that same republican about a democrat's similarly-evolving views, that dem is a "flip-flopper". Just food for thought.

Barack Obama
One of the few political figures since Kennedy who actually has ideals and a vision of a better America. This man, while inexperienced, knows what America stands for, which is basically the polar opposite of everything that has happened in the US in the last 6+ years. This country is in dire need of unity, responsibility and self-evaluation. This is the only candidate that can provide that.

Hillary Clinton
Easily the odds-on favorite for both the Democratic nomination as well as the presidency. God help us all.

John Edwards
A trial lawyer in the White House? No thanks.

no offense but your explanations of each candidate seem to be a little biased "B". All except Obama have 1 or 2 sentence Bios and all of them are downtalking their subject. How about talking about each persons views and goals and let people decide for themselves which they want. dont try to make it sound like Obama is the only one who has anything positive about him.

Biased? Nah...

I didn't say much negative about Obama because there really isn't much - negative or positive - to say. The man has a very short resume with respect to his peers, and even his Senatorial voting record is short and sweet. The others, by comparison, have plenty of history to use against them, and Obama will be in that same boat in a few years.

Furthermore, the comments about Obama were in response to his being referred to as a "n00b" in previous comments. The innuendo attached to the comment was obviously negative in tone, and I found it to be inappropriate.

Lastly, it's not my responsibility to write a report detailing each candidate's political biography. If someone wants to know their views, they can go read about them before they go vote - I'm not a school teacher. However, if we are to debate each hopeful's merit, I'd be glad to pull out the proverbial "big guns" and talk shop, if you'd like.

i didnt say you were required to write a detailed biography of each candidate, but if you are going to attempt to provide some insight into what each candidate is like, try to provide a little bit more then "o god help us all if she gets elected".
thats all i was trying to say.

I called Obama a n00b for several reasons B.

My first reason is that he has next to nothing credentials. He has been a Senator for 2 years and a State Senator for 6. Trust me, I live in his state and he hasn't done a single flippin' thing for us.

Secondly, in the time he has been our Senator, most of it has been spent outside of Illlinois, particularly in Africa and parading around about how he should be the next president.

Even though I hate Hillary, I'd rather have her than Barack Hussein Obama.

And how in the world do we associate Obama with Saddam, anyway? I see no connection between Saddam and ANY candidates.

His middle name is Hussein.

Which, of course, detractors never fail to mention.

Not to sound like a jerk, but I couldn't care less that he's done so little for your state, because that's got nothing to do with why I like him. Just because someone passes legislation, votes on bills and has a party-determined position on an issue doesn't mean they're good for the country. What Obama has that the others don't is intangible, and invaluable to us, as a group, at this point in history, in my opinion.

There's nothing Guliani/McCain/Clinton/Romney/etc can do that Obama cannot by your justification. One could actually argue that his politically-inferior pedigree is advantageous, as he is less likely to succumb to bureaucratic pressures that temp to dissuade him from doing his job effectively.
