Since we've been sort of pic-obsessed lately... I just have a request for everyone: Please do NOT quote pictures. It takes up unnecessary room on the page, and it also uses up bandwidth. If you want to quote someone's picture to refer to it, then quote it, and replace the picture code with *picture description here*. Like I've been doing. Example, *GTFO pic*. Or something like that. I don't care, just PLEASE don't quote pictures. It takes enough for stuff to load already. It's not a big deal, and I won't warn anyone or anything. It's not a rule. Just a courtesy thing. But if I do see anyone quoting pictures, I'll be editting your post, as I have quite a few times already recently. It's just kind of annoying to have double pics... That's all. Thanks. |

Why not? Go ahead and quote 'em, I'll take 'em out anyway. You want me to explain all the reasons? - It takes up unneeded space with something you've already seen - You can easily refer to it as *pic description whatever* - It uses up the bandwidth of where the pic is coming from, which is often my own photobucket! - It makes the page load longer, which doesn't bother me much but is bad for a lot of the members who have slower computers - Do you REALLY need to quote a picture anyway? Unless it's really small. Geez. Maybe I've been foruming too much at serious places, but I thought people always hated unnecessary quoting. At least, I do. It's not that hard to alter the quote so you aren't quoting everything you don't need... Again, you don't have to. Whatevers. It was just annoying me. |
