Man, many things have been disappearing like the Yaypit server on HL2DM. Like I said in one of my topics, I was never there to enjoy the last minutes of it. Then, Team Fortress Classic servers and its server-sides, such as AdminOp, are going away real fast. Now, there is only 300 servers to pick from. Some of the maps are not played anymore such as Cz2, Epicenter, Hunted, and possibly more. Team Fortress is just disappearing quickly, and soon it'll be dead. The Impulse TFC server, another fun server on Team Fortress, barely has players playing in it anymore. It used to always be full. Now, on The Monastery, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch server, is always filled with idiots and noobs. I never see the admins join on there anymore. If they do, it's usually like 1 every week. I never see them except on the Monastery Forums. It really gets me down. All the fun servers I used to play on are dead or coming towards it. I can't think of any fun servers that are still existing anymore. It felt like it was just the other day when I was sitting in The Yaypit TFC before they moved on to Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and Axl's TFC before it changed to Impulse TFC. I miss those good times. I'd do anything to go back and experience it all over again. It really makes me sad to see my communities I used to hang out with just vanish in silence when you turn your back for one second to see the other side of the glory. Man, I don't know what to do when they're gone. Over half the people I knew, especially from The Yaypit and Monastery, are gone now. They were my community. They were my buddies. It was like they were all my close friends no matter how they treated me and what they said to me. And you gotta admitt it, this place, one day, will vanish too. What will I do?! Playing on the newer games just make me miss the old days even more! But I can't experience my past again. I just got to learn that lesson. It's hard, but I just got to accept the fact that it will never happen again. |

Ah...the good old times. That happened to me too. I was in a Starcraft clan for about three years. Then, less and less people showed up and the clan just died. I remember all the good times I had with those guys, yet every Starcraft player should know no clan will last forever. Sometimes, just 1 person leaving makes a difference. What would a clan be without the leader? The guy who's always joking around? or maybe the best player? It's just not a clan anymore. You know, you guys are like a family to me now. We might just a bunch of people rambling about video games and stuff, but we have the same interests, the same passions. That's what makes this forum so special. |
