When you're a newbie, you're probably going to end up spamming once and a while. It's pretty easy to do. Here are some helpful tips (rules?) on how to avoid spamming:

1. Do not post if you're only going to say one or two words, unless they're really meaningful. (I.E., a post simply saying "hello" or "wow" is usually spam.)

2. Do not post to say "Thanks," "awesome," "no problem," "hey dude," etc. If you want to say these things, then include them in a post that isn't totally random and off-topic!

3. Do not post on a topic that has not been used for a couple weeks. It's dead unless you have something VERY important to say about it.

4. Do not post about something that has already been posted. Check to see if there is an old topic about it.

5. If there is a very old dead topic you want to talk about, you might as well make a new topic about it, but add something interesting.

6. BE NICE and don't flame. (Flaming is basically making rude remarks to people.)

7. Try to stay on topic. Going a little off topic isn't so bad, and we don't mind it much as long as it's not on a serious topic.

8. Follow the golden rule and don't do stupid things.

9. Please type correctly. It's hard to understand "lol i lik dat 2."

Guys, I'm doing this from the top of my head. If you have anything to add, please do tell.

[Gilmer's Spelling is so bad, he] probably thinks the "Holocaust" is a type of holographic pokemon card.

Remember... Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.."

You're all wrong.

N00b = an obnoxious person, whether they're new or not. They "tak lik dis" and spam up the forum. They just usually grow out of it.
Newbie = someone who is plain out new.

Cranky
Okay, apparently this suggestion thread has become a spam fest. I deleted many of the spam posts and garbage that did not really fit here. All that is left are the good suggestions and whatever else I felt necessary.

And yes, like burned and millumi said, don't piss me off ;)

Thank you to Naoko for pointing out the problem.

We have enough suggestions for now. If you feel you have something else you can really contribute, PM a mod or admin so we can add it.

LOCKED.

I'd like to add a rule to this:

11. Do not quote someone's entire post if it is more than a couple sentences long. Only quote the portion you are replying to, and take the rest out of the quote box.
