It's a great thing that Kyle and Kody finally got back from Orlando on Sunday. Immediately, Jacob, Demetri, and I went to their house as soon as we knew they were home. Turns out that they brought Matt back to their house with them (who is a friend of ours, now a graduate of L.W. Higgins, and also looks somewhat like Jesus Christ himself). And, even better, Matt brought Rock Band 2 with him! All of us were taking turns on Rock Band 2, either playing the guitar or the drums. I love it, in all honesty. Reminds me of my days with DDR, except this game is less energy consuming... sorta.

Monday was pretty much the same thing. I was at Kyle and Kody's most of the time, playing Rock Band 2. Kyle gave a try at the game on drums... and quit pretty quickly. Demetri was there to take my place when I got tired on drums, which I mostly played.

The next day, Tuesday, was a milestone in the care of my teeth. My dad brought me to the orthodontist to get my braces. Took them a whole hour to put it on, but half of that time they were just doing some time-wasting things. Had to have my mouth open for 15 minutes straight, trying to ignore the habit of swallowing. I chose to have red and orange for the colors, and the braces looked good on me. They told me how I can't have certain foods that are sticky, hard, or crunchy. I can't lie, though, I almost cracked a smile when the young orthodontist said plainly, "Don't eat nuts," who then tried to play it off by saying, "chocolate nuts, peanut butter...". Didn't feel any pain, except the feeling of metal brushing against my top lip. Afterward, we went to the grocery store to pick up a few things, where my dad began to tease me by going in aisles of food I can't have for almost two years. Thanks, Dad. Went back to Kyle's as soon as we got home and showed them my braces. We then continued to put the "rock" in Rock Band 2, where I played for hours with Kody and Matt since Jacob and Demetri weren't there to hog up the instruments. Played all the way til 10 at night, where I then decided that I need to go sleep. I didn't feel much from my braces.

But hey, when I woke up the today around 7, my teeth were feeling pretty sore. (Yeah, I'm back on a regular sleeping habit. Hooray!) Being early in the morning, I couldn't go to Kyle's and play Rock Band 2, so I started killing some time. I ate two bananas to start the day, since they're soft enough on my teeth. An hour or two later, my mom made up some grits and toast for me. Little did I know, as I finished the grits, that even toast was painful to bite. AND PAINFUL IT WAS. I couldn't even finish my toast after the first piece. It was WAY too painful. Felt like I was ripping my teeth out.

Being impatient, I went to Kyle's only half-way through 11:00. I think I woke him up, but he was the only person there. Even though I knew Kody went to work with his mom, Matt apparently left...but still left his Rock Band 2 game and the instruments. Awww yeah. Did some Rock Band 2 on the guitar this time. I was obviously getting better, since I went from easy mode to medium without a problem. Jacob even stopped by and played the drums. We did a few games, got bored, and now I'm here. The pain on my braces went down a little, but still hurts.

So, these days, overall, has been going well. Kyle and Kody came back, I was introduced to a new fun game, and now I'm experiencing the first few days of my braces.
