TP lacked rewarding side quests. The magic armor is useless if you know how to dodge and the reward for getting all the poe souls is useless, after getting the magic armor you don't need money for anything but using it for said armor anyway.

There's no point to being invulnerable if you still get knocked back and can't counter attack, I'd rather dodge and do some damage instead. Also, the only way you're gonna pay that bridge is by doing the insect quest, which is at least a bit useful I suppose.

Even after 40 hours of play time, you still get the dumb "YOU FOUND A BLUE RUPEE, IT'S WORTH 5" message every time you load your game. Thanks for insulting my memory.

TP definitely had some good points (getting new sword techniques, being able to fight and use other items than the bow while riding the horse, etc.) but it lacked in a lot of departments, too.

I completely agree, the side quests were definitely lackluster. There wasn't a Biggoron Sword/Kafei massive type quest, which I always enjoy. The rupee thing was annoying too, I don't know why they did that...

But, at the same time, the game's story mode was the most epic and enthralling experience in Zelda yet. It felt darker and grittier, there was more action, the puzzles were bigger and harder, and the bosses were inventive, for the most part.

Are those minor gripes really worth throwing out the baby with the bathwater?
