When you're a newbie, you're probably going to end up spamming once and a while. It's pretty easy to do. Here are some helpful tips (rules?) on how to avoid spamming:

1. Do not post if you're only going to say one or two words, unless they're really meaningful. (I.E., a post simply saying "hello" or "wow" is usually spam.)

2. Do not post to say "Thanks," "awesome," "no problem," "hey dude," etc. If you want to say these things, then include them in a post that isn't totally random and off-topic!

3. Do not post on a topic that has not been used for a couple weeks. It's dead unless you have something VERY important to say about it.

4. Do not post about something that has already been posted. Check to see if there is an old topic about it.

5. If there is a very old dead topic you want to talk about, you might as well make a new topic about it, but add something interesting.

6. BE NICE and don't flame. (Flaming is basically making rude remarks to people.)

7. Try to stay on topic. Going a little off topic isn't so bad, and we don't mind it much as long as it's not on a serious topic.

8. Follow the golden rule and don't do stupid things.

9. Please type correctly. It's hard to understand "lol i lik dat 2."

Guys, I'm doing this from the top of my head. If you have anything to add, please do tell.
