See, I love posts like this. No reasoning, no comparing, just some opinion without an explanation. "I don't like him because I'm not a pro, which you need to be to play Olimar," would be a good way to describe why you don't like him. Either way, Olimar is awesome... once you know how to use him right. I'm still working on that. |

Fine, here we go ill make a long post like TriforceMan I don't like him because he isin't that all good. His Pikmin aren't good at all and he can only kick which is the best he has. I never liked him in brawl because it is either he sucks because of he has no good attacks. His Final Smash is o.k but he still needs major work. The first couple of reasons i don't like him is because i hate the Pikmin series. Another reason is because he has no good attack and his B+Up jump is horrible... a few times i use him but i never won with him. Usually Samus is pretty good and ZZS I stand with my OPINION that he stinks BONUS:good grammar used. |

"I hate Pikmin." Excellent reason. I can clearly see you're not a pro if you don't consider ANY of Olimar's attacks good. I don't know about you, but that Pikmin Rope is awesome. |

I don't have Brawl yet, I'm still saving up for a Wii. It seemed like it would be a bit interesting to have him in Brawl and that he'd be good, but from the posts in this thread it seems like he needs a lot of practice and you need to be a pro, which I am not at all. Hope the other new characters are good, or that I like Olimar. Either way, he sounds like at least a bit of a disappointment. 240 more dollars until I can afford Brawl and a Wii and find out for myself. =| |

I haven't practiced enough to use him properly, but I'm decent enough with him to have gotten the feel of his controls. I really like him. His attacks are weak, but only if you don't know how to use them. Throwing Pikmin is a fast way to accumulate tons of damage on your enemy and his Final Smash is superb. It does a great deal of damage to all opponents and it's quite easy to hit them when crashing back down, so killing them off with the Smash is a breeze. I voted great because he's still hard enough to use that it's a deterrant to anyone who doesn't want to spend tons of time practicing. |

Not fond of him myself. I know you can master him and chuking the pikmin can deal a great deal of damage pretty quickly but he's just not that fun to play. |

Dedede is a heavy character that can FLY. He is awesome. Anyways, on topic, Olimar is very good, but hard to use, just like others have said. The only move that doesn't make sense to me is the Whistle. I know it's supposed to bring in the Pikmin, but it doesn't mork well for me. However, if you have good aim, he is great at getting Smash Balls. I used his Pikmin Chain to get one. :P |

Its actually quite useful, Some times pikmin stay attached to people, so you need to call them before that person starts to kill the pikmin he has on them. Just so you know, the longer the pikmin in your group stay alive, the more powerful they get. You see that they turn from leaf, to bud, to flower. Flower is obviously the most powerful... so keep your pikmin alive and you'll get a good treat

Well, I was just playing as Olimar again since I have nothing better to do. I've gotten better at him. Not good enough to go on Wifi, but better. I found that using the C-stick made pulling off some of Olimar's moves much easier. |

Well, Cronos and Messina just saw me play as Olimar last night. Then Thief joined and it got laggy as all hell. I wasn't very happy with my performance but it worked. |
