I think that the Wii will be in second place, behind the Xbox 360. I think that people will not be interested in many games if the Wii goes in the mini-game direction. What do you guys think, first, second, or third?

Hardware or Software?

I think software, it'll be dead last... maybe second. Hardware, though, is harder to predict. No signs of the bubble popping yet.

To be, or not to be: that is the question. To die, to sleep; no more; and by a sleep to say we end. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause. That makes calamity of so long life, for who would bear the whips and scorns of time when he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death, the undiscover'd country from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will and makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all...

Yeah, hardware. And I know what you mean about software being dead last. Most of the Wii games look horrible.

Don't forget chicken shoot!

I think the Wii will be less than a million sales behind the 360. The 360 being in first place.

It kind of reminds me of the Gamecube, except the Wii is doing a whole lot better.

I'm sure I'm gonna get flamed for this but I predict the Wii will drop off long before the other systems do. The reason I'm saying this is both Microsoft and Sony designed their machines to be in it for the long haul and to be capable of getting quality games (as they claim) 10 years from now. The Wii's biggest weekness is in the power of the system, being only slightly better than the PS2.

Now keep in mind this doesn't mean I prefer the other 2 over the Wii. Remember, I went out of my way to get my hands on a Wii when I could have easily went to my local store and purchased one of the others.

That's one of the Wii's biggest flaws, that it doesn't have a lot of power. But it's biggest flaw is it's games. And the only reason it's getting so much crap is because it's cheaper to develop for and the develpoers will make a lot of money from the game (families and children buying the games..).

Wii is too popular. Nintendo's going to win, I assure you.

It's very popular now, but what about in the future? Do you think the Wii can have a long lifespan like the Playstation 2, and by then still be as popular?
