This is a BETA for my video game. It's about a squirrel named Midi who you'll probably better understand (but most likely not) if you read the online story. But for now, here's a taste of what his game's going to be like. DOWNLOAD EDIT: Some Mac users say it doesn't work, so if you're on an Apple, don't expect much. |

I downloaded it. Seems extremely well done. My only issues: 1) Can't figure out how to jump... 2) Well, at first I liked the music, but then it started to get very repetitive in the level. If you were planning on fixing this, cool, but if not, I'd be willing to help. |

The controls are listed in the document that comes with it. And I'm currently trying to get more music. |

OK, so here's another update! My next video demo will be posted up soon, so you'll all get to see my new additions in action. So far, I've made the following changes: *Corrected hill detection so Midi doesn't bounce while going downhill. *Enhanced missile homing so they don't orbit the enemies forever. *Added caffeine shakes to make Midi run faster. *Shortened required ladder hight for Midi to land. *Added some enemies, so that there's actually something to do. *Created a lame shop engine that will soon be replaced with a not-so-lame shop engine. *Added talking NPCs. *Completed the day/night clock engine. EDIT=I may be adding a new demo soon, so keep an eye out for that, too! |

Oh. Okay. Well, since this time I could jump and attack, I got a bit further. Pretty fluid game play, although it took a while to get used to the jumping, because he seemed to fall kinda quickly, but I got used to it. Everything was fine until I got up to the robot boss, and after about two minutes, he got stuck in the floor. That was really my only complaint, and the repetitive music. Other than that, it is great. Quick question: Where are you getting the music from? Are you writing it? |

Most of the music I'm writing, but a few songs were downloaded. But don't worry, I should have some better music for the full version because now that I have the main engine programmed, I have room in my schedule for other parts. Those songs in the demo were just thrown together real fast. |
