I'm thinking of doing something with Video Game sprites. I hear of these things called "Sprite Sheets", What are they and how do I use them? Also, do they cost any? |

A sprite sheet is simply an image file that displays several images of a specific character in the various poses and stances they can be in in their game. You can use the several sprites to create animations or comics. Just google "sprite sheet" (or get more specific and google "[character name] sprite sheet"), and you should find one. These image files can easily be manipulated using the cut and paste features in any Paint or Image Editing program. |

You can find tons of sprite sheets at "The Spriters Resouce", "The shy guy Kingdom", "Mario Fan Games Galaxy", and others. Those three are the most popular that I know of. TSR has sprites from a lot of game series. MFGG has sprites only of the Mario series, but a lot of sheets. TSGK, I dont know about. I dont go there because I feel that TSR and MFGG are better for me. But I think TSGK has mostly sheets from older games. (From the last time I looked around on there) |
