I think Computer Art, and any kind of art in general, can be learned like any other disipline, like riding a bike, rock climbing, playing a guitar, or playing a video game. It just takes practice. I would advise taking maybe a few classes (if you're still in high school), or buying a few books on the subject of art. One great skill anyone needs to learn to be an artist is to learn to copy other artist's art by hand, that is a great part of the learning process, as it teaches you how to look at value, detail, and proportion. Try opening a magazine and looking for an advertisement, and doing a Grid Drawing of it on a pad of paper. This gives you an easy way of doing "fine art". |
