Ecka was still tucked away behind Hakaru. "Can we go now Hakaru?" She said as though she saw a ghost. Her voice was a little higher than usual, obviously trying to sound innocent. |

Hakaru sighed, and smiled to her. Hakaru: "Yeah. We can go." He closed his book, took her by the shoulder, and began walking back home with her. "We'll settle this later, gentlemen." |

As Ecka walked down the street, she kept looking behind her. After a few minutes of silence, she looked back at Haru. "He's gone, right?" |

Hakaru became serious again, his eyes darting left and right on occasion. Hakaru: "Probably not. Hard to say... he must be a hunter." Hakaru then patted her on the head, a reassured smile on his face. "Don't worry. He won't harm you while I'm around, kid." |

"I'm just scared that he might want to take me-" Ecka put her hand over her mouth, realizing that she had never told Hakaru about the kidnapping. |

Ecka relaxed. "Yes, I suppose so." With that, she didn't feel like talking much anymore. Instead, she looked up at the sky getting lost in a daydream. |

Hakaru: "Not again..." He sighed, and pushed her home, knowing very well that she was useless while she daydreamed. "Mom. We're home." |

As they entered the house, Ecka was soon snapped out of her daydream. "Did I just zone out again? Eh, I must be kind of tired." As she said this, she scurried through the door, yawning slightly. |

Hakaru only smirked, entirely used to her behavior by now. He went to the kitchen, and began doing the dishes. Hakaru did a large portion of the house work, as a method of repaying the family's kindness for allowing him to stay with them, and so that Ecka would be able to enjoy her younger years while she can. Though, he often treats her like a child because of this. |

meanwhile, about a mile outside of town, there was a pile of dead bodies. both new japanese and eutopian. however, the cause of death for all of them was the same. they were all cut up by some lightsaber-like weapon. however, nobody has found the bodies... yet. a single man walked away, a mask over his face, and a cloak over his body. "i hate doing this... but i guess i have to." the man had soon dissapeared, leaving behind only the bodies. |

Ecka was sitting on her bed when something interesting happend. She felt a little tickle on the edge of her fingers. Then, all of a sudden, she felt much lighter. It was like gravity was giving up. She sighed and "floated" over to the door, almost closing it a little too hard. "Why is this happening more often? This is the third time this week..." Ecka thought, "floating" back to her bed. |

"I'm... finally on board the Orpheus... My lifelong dream! I can't believe it!" Kama laughed gleefully as he ran around gawking at all of the technology. He came upon an odd, glowing syringe held in a glowing glove. The text underneath said: "When glove and syringe grasp syringe and glove, Harmony will be achieved. Harmony is the key to power." Kama: "When glove... grasps syringe..." Kama reached out and took the syringe. He looked down at his own chest. He took the bandana off of his torso and revealed what looked to be only the outermost ring of a combination lock: he undid the lock. There was a click, and panels opened revealing another ring. |

After finishing the household chores, Hakaru started walking outside of the small town, accompanied by Saku. This was not uncommon, and many assumed that he was simply involved in another part-time job. This was somewhat true. Hakaru: "My next target is on a ship?" Saku: "Not just any ship. This was supposed to be the most technologically advanced ship ever assembled, which is why you're coming. We've been taking care of any Eutos that tried to get on board. However, one happened to slip by." Saku often referred to Eutopians as Eutos, a common slang amonst the New Japanese. Hakaru: "And how is that?" Saku: "We were drinking." Saku laughed, though the event in question was actually quite true. "Besides, you were going to be assigned this target anyways." Hakaru: "Kama, huh? I would have thought of something more flowery for a Eutopian." Hakaru grinned, though quickly returned to frowning as Saku laughed loudly in his ear. "Honestly, you call yourself a spy?." |
