It's the year 267, and the people on the planet L_R178 are in a civil war. The two major countries of the planet, New Japan and Eutopia (spelled wrong on purpose), are warring. The war started in 262 for an unknown reason, and things are starting to get bad. New Japan is running down natural resources and minerals for refining, and Eutopians are polluting the air with their factories. If the war isn't ended soon, the planet will become uninhabitable. Eutopians are an extremely advanced people, and have numerous inventions, spawning from airships to advanced cell regeneration, which allows them to heal themselves and others with special suits (a la white mage), to breathing masks that lets them breath the air outside of the life bubbles. Eutopia is the size of exactly one quarter of the world, and is made up of life bubbles, which constantly spew contaminated air out of them from the factories within them. This makes them safe to live in themselves, but to venture into Outer Eutopia, you need a special mask that lets you breath the poisonous air. The Eutopians have even built machines that hold compressed quantities of the air for use as a gaseous weapon. The Eutopians use steam-powered projectile weapons as their main source of attack, but they can also use close-range weapons. New Japanese People are also advanced, but in a different way: They have Intech, a liquid that was discovered underground beneath New Japan, and is extremely adaptable; Anything raw element put into it has a different effect on it, and when mixed with blood, the blood adapts the properties of the Intech. For example, when Sodium is mixed with Intech, it produces internally made fire, so when SodiumIntech is injected into a person's bloodstream, they both build an impenetrable resistance to fire, but also the ability to create fire out of thin air. Here are the discoveries so far that are not lethal: SodiumIntech: Fire Creation and Resistance.. No Adverse effects, cannot OD, powers do not die down between injections, but run out instantly after 24 hours. SiliconIntech: Electricity/Magnetic Control. Creates a physical dependence (like a drug), and the user will die if he/she does not reinject at least once every 48 hours. Powers weaken the longer the user goes without injecting; can OD. HeliumIntech: DNA Modification. Entire body becomes extremely light and the user can vent compressed air out of any part of the body; basically, flight and pushing objects with air. The catch is, the user becomes highly flammable, and when caught on fire, burns easily (set his finger on fire and his arm'll be gone soon). PERMANENT. CarbonIntech: DNA Modification. Entire body becomes extremely heavy, the user's strength is multiplied twofold, and the surface of the skin becomes extremely hard and almost unbreakable; However, the bones become extremely fragile, and if the skin is broken through, the bone is very easily breakable. PERMANENT. Other discoveries are still being made in this field, though. The New Japanese also use swords as their main weapons, ranging from katanas to buster swords. Name: Kama Faction: Eutopian Inventions Used: steam-powered x1.5 strength modification suit, Depollution mask, Steam-powered tranq gun, Goggles Other Weapons: A dagger with a pump inside of the handle; when the bottom of the handle is pressed in, the liquid inside (usually tranquilizer gas) Bio: A devoted steampunk, Kama has invented quite a few things two of which are powered by steam. These include his steam-powered suit that magnifies his strength x1.5 and vents hot steam off of vents on his back, a mask that converts the carbon dioxide he breaths out into clean oxygen (a start towards depollution), a pair of goggles that lets him see through smoke using a special kind of UV light, and a gun filled with compressed tranquilizer gas that shoots small shrapnel bullets filled with compressed gas; the bullets are extremely fragile, even moreso because of the gas pushing at them from within, and they pop on impact. This both tranquilizes the opponent and shoots of the small shrapnels, which are basically dipped in tranq liquid (the shrapnels tranq other people if they are close to the target). If the bullet flies long enough, it pops on its own. It's powered by steam because a gunpowder explosion would make the bullet explode instantly. Name: Nolan Faction: New Japanese Injection used: SodiumIntech Other weapons: Carries a large buster sword, as well as several daggers that return like boomerangs at times. Bio: One of the first subjects, he was the first person to obtain the SodiumIntech. He's one of the better known warriors, but not much else is known. He's fought with Kama before, always ending in a draw. Appearance: Like Zihark (Swordmaster) from the Fire Emblem series. OOC: Let me know if it needs to be fixed. |

Name: Hakaru (surname unknown) Faction: New Japanese Injection Used: SiliconIntech Other Weapons: straight razors and also a katana used only when necessary Bio: Though a barber, Hakaru is in actuality an assassin for New Japan. He uses the same straight razors for both of his occupations, often hurling and manipulating them against his foes. A SiliconIntech addict, he often spends most of his money on obtaining his "drug", his physical health suffering because of his lack of food in return. The people around him know that he is in fact addicted to something, yet unaware of its true identity. Appearance:

OOC: TS, if you can find one, have a pic, I have no idea in hell what that guy looks like. Otherwise, approved. Mal, you're only approved if you don't leave forum n! D: Kama walked along the borders of one of the Life Bubbles. He could see the trees inside, but out here, it was just desert. He was about to walk into the bubble when he remembered the heightened gravity order of 266; all life bubbles would have heightened gravity and a prerequisite of a power suit so that New Japanese people couldn't enter unless they either had CarbonIntech, or extremely high natural endurance and strength. Kama adjusted a few levers on his Power Suit and the gauges on his wrist pointed to a higher number. He walked into the airlock and then into the bubble itself. As he walked towards his workshop near the border, he smiled under his mask at the thought of what unfinished invention he would work on next. |

Name:Terry Greene Faction: New Japanese Injection Used:SiliconIntech Other Weapons:Serums and gadgets* He also has a strange sword that is made of organic matter. Bio:He was unwillingly exposed to SiliconIntech due to an accident with it when it was first created. His goal is to eventually crate an antidote and he is a reknowned scientist. He secretly is for ending the conflict, but puts on a pro new japan mask when in the spotlight. He created his sword accidentally, but that all that is known about it. He also carrys prototype gadgets or serums from time to time on the battlefield as well as normal activity. Appearance:The guy in the t-shirt saluting  Terry pulls some lab tools from a table across the room. The tools hover around his airspace while he grabs them from the air and replaces them seeming to do so without much thought. He in in deep concentration where little can break him of his goal, this is a rare occasion from his light-hearted self. Why is he so intent, to the point his magnetic powers are in perfect sync? With a grin he returns to this world and pulls up a dropper. Terry: 1 kg of this and the recipient will be drinking continuosly for 24 hours. He chuckles and puts it in a fridge. |

Hakaru was at the moment shaving the beard of a customer, who appeared at first to be a neutralist. He was in fact, however, a frequent customer of Hakaru for a reason: the transition of information. Hakaru himself was also impersonating a member of the neutral party. Hakaru: "What do you have for me today, Saku?" Saku: "What else do ya want? I already got the medication for you." Hakaru: "I also asked for the information..." Saku: "I'm not an archive my boy. But for a fee..." Hakaru: "Or perhaps, I could pay with a much closer shave?" Hakaru placed the straight razor he had been using underneath Saku's neck. Saku: "Now, there's no need for that my boy. My sources tell me that they have gathered forces within their bases. Probably to keep calvary out." The two obviously spoke in code, and to a person, it would appear as though they were speaking of an online war game. Hakaru: "Interesting..." Hakaru's Thoughts: "Increased gravity, huh? That should effectively cut our infiltrators by a forth." |

Name: Ecka Shinzou Faction: New Japanese Injection Used: HeliumIntech Other Weapons: A Wind Katana Bio: At the age of six, Ecka was abducted from her home. After one month she returned to find herself much different than before. She immediately tried to hide it. Eight years later, she still tries to hide the HeliumIntech. Appearance:  Ecka ran out of her house as quickly as she could. In a few minutes she would be expected for a club meeting. Unfortunately, all she could leave was a note for her sleeping parents. As she bustled through the town, she noticed Hakaru at the Barbar shop. She quickly opened the door. "Hey, Hikaru? Mom says she's coming in soon. Well, I've got to go! Bye!" She took off down the street once again. |

Terry continues in his laidback state as he steps out of the lab, he passes a fellow scientist who stops to chat. After about a minute his eyes bulge and he ends the conversation akwardly before running off in a sweat and falling to the floor with a syringe in hand. As he falls the syringe escapes his grasp, his eyes water blurring his vision and his magnetic powers won't activate. He forces himself up just to fall. He stretches for it but it's just a millimeter away. He continues to struggle at it, he begins to lose hope and goes limp, will he be left to die or will someone come? Deep down he would rather die than let someone see him like this. |

OOC: This is the best pic I could get. Nolan is walking down the same street towards his hideaway. To most people, he was probably the nicest person on the block. Those who foguth him, however, had a different story. Anyway, while not payin attention, he accidently bumped into Ecka. "Oh, sorry about that Ecka. I wasn't looking." |

Saku: "That pretty girl is your sister, ah?" He grinned widely, despite Hakaru's sigh. Hakaru: "Not biologically, but yes." Saku: "The adoption agency can be most merciful." He chuckled, though stopped a bit short with Hakaru placing the knife underneath his chin. "So you're a barber to help support your family, huh?" Hakaru: "How is that any of your business?" Hakaru quickly finished with Saku, and throw a towel on his customer's face. "Your done here, thanks for the info." Saku: "Touched a nerve?" Saku laughed and he rubbed his face with the towel, and returned it to Hakaru. "Whatever the case, don't get any ideas about the base. The gravity is far too intense for even you to handle." Hakaru: "Don't worry about me." Hakaru walked Saku to the door, and waved to him, making him appear to be the honest and kind barber. "Come again!" |

A bulky figure walks up next to Terry's body. ?: Such a shame.... The figure injects terry with just enough to stimulate him for a couple moments. Terry: Bane, why... how are you here?! Bane: So you remember old buddy, the new japanese are fools. I've walked undetected for weeks, an eutopian in the midst. Terry: We arn't buddies, once I discovered you.... Bane: I remember you had me deported, but not before I took advantage of your tech. I can forgive you if you step out of the center ground and into our side. Terry: You were who lead me to the middle ground then you betrayed all of us, including your new japanese great grandfather's blood. Bane grabs a βαstαrd and puts it over terry's neck. Terry laughs and bane loses his cool as a sword scrapes across his face. My organic sword responded to the pitch of my voice. Bane who can't see through the blood just stomps on terry before staggering his bloody face into the wall and finally out of the building. The blow knocked terry out, meaning when he would awake he'd need to get to the syringe. |

Nolan watched as Ecka ran off. "I wonder about her sometimes..." He continued to walk down the street until turning down a dark alley. He wrote something on a brick. I opened, and a grey button was shown. Nolan pressed it, and a door soon emerged. He went in, and the bricks covered over the door again. Inside were what seemed to be regular household things. One thing that stood out, however, was the syringe case. Nolan injected himself once, and replenished his Intech intake. "Time to get back." He exited the hideaway, and continued down the street. |

When Ecka had arrived at her freinds house for the club meeting, she quickly entered. "Here's the package, Mech. Unfortunately, I think some of the beads may be a tad small." Before she could respond. Ecka fled the house and headed back onto the street. Now off to the store... |
