In a world where dangers always lie just around the corner, everyone must be well protected with their own skills. You could be a swordsman, a Martial Arts master, a soldier, practically anyone--and it's all just to help you survive in the World of Darkness--Doransness. Each species' on Doransness are pitted against each other in eternal war. If you do not know the way of life in this dark world, you are nearly guarateed to die within a week there. It is a very dangerous place, even when the way of life there is known. Tell me--would YOU like to live here? Human: A common life form on Doransness, humans are not quite as good as fighting as the other species', but their large number of people help them hold their own in battles. Martial arts masters and gunsmen are the main warriors in this species. Gargoyle: The gargoyles have the appearence of a human, but in times of danger, large demon wings protrude from their backs, giving them the ability to fly. Being swift and clever, the gargoyles have a moderate number of people, availing often in battle. Swordsmen and archers are often found from this species. Giant: These large, monster-like creatures will usually walk on all fours, but special giants can walk on two feet. Giants are extremely large and extremely powerful in terms of physical strength. However, they aren't very smart and talk like, say, Tarzan did before meeting Jane. All giants are reckless and refuse to use weapons or acrobatics like the other species' do. They instead prefer to use brute strength against enemies. However, they are low in numbers, giving them a disadvantage. Name: Age: Background: Species: Appearence: Weapon (humans and gargoyles only): Rules I: No god-modding 2: No dodging every attack (unless permitted) 3: No killing anyone (unless permitted) Name: Matsuki Age: 17 Background: Matsuki has had a rough life. He is a runaway from his divorced parents, and is quite timid and shy. He hopes to make a friend one day, even one from another species. Species: Gargoyle Appearence: Blonde hair, red cape, torn black shirt, torn blue jeans, black shoes Weapon: Large sword, looks like Cloud Strife's Buster Sword without the bandages Matsuki walked through the foggy streets of Doransness, tired and in no condition to fight at the moment. However, a culprit from the giant species slowly snuck up on him and striked. Matsuki: "Oooooff!!" Matsuki fell to the ground in pain. The giant snickered and snatched a money pouch from Matsuki's jean pocket and ran off. Matsuki moaned, lying on the street, hoping someone would come to help. |

Name: Yuki Kurodo Age: 21 Background: Growing up as the leader of the local gang of Doransness, Yuki knew well of the unfortunate. Learning from text books, Yuki became a master of swords through theory, perfecting his art with his vast speed and learning abilities. After retiring from his gang, he took wield of his kodachis to protect those who viewed as "overlooked" by god. Legend has it that he never reveals his second kodachi unless the opponent proves themselves worthy. Species: Human Appearence:  Weapon: Dual Kodachis Yuki was seen, in battle with a giant within Doransness, though it was definitely not a fair match. Yuki had already pinned the behemoth to the ground with his index finger, using the Giant's lack of balance against him. Yuki: "Now please apologize to me for stealing this money pouch. I would be happy to pass your words along." Giant: "I sorry. No mean hurt body." Yuki: "Good. Now run along." When Yuki released his hold, the Giant was quick enough to vacate the area, leaving behind the money pouch. Yuki picked it up, placed a stick of pocky in his mouth, and preceded to walk over to Matsuki's side and toss him the money pouch. Yuki: "I assume this is your's, kid." Without another word, Yuki strolled along, his twin kodachi's swaying with every step. |

Matsuki rubbed his eyes, put the pouch back in his pocket, and ran after Yuki. Matsuki: "Hey! Wait up!" |

Yuki strolled along at the sidewalk, allowing Matsuki to catch up. Yuki: "What do you want kid?" Despite the pocky in his mouth, he was able to talk perfectly, showing that he happened to do it quite often. |

Name: Eon Age: 14 Background: A strong and "Strapping young lad" as his elders called him, he was one day at the age of ten thrown out of his un-named village for no aparent reason. They said he wouldn't fit in thier due to his overly strange strength. Before he left he decided to go to a blacksmith and get a blade. He asked for two swords but the backsmith was hard of hearing. He got a two handed sword by accident, but took it anyway seeing as the village outcast was very rarely helped. After his many days of training he can weild it with one hand only, no small feat for a boy his size. Species: Human Appearence: Looks like Snake but rewind back into his teen years. xD Likes to wear a black headband. Other clothes vary. Eon: What brings you two here. This IS dangerous territory. *Eon had no sheath for his blade so he carried it on his shoulder, and usually put his weight on his right leg, he needed to under the sword's weight, a tedious 80 pounds* |

"Really? What species are you?" Matsuki asked Yuki. He then turned to Eon. "That was kind of a double question. What's your name?" Matsuki rubbed the back of his head in embarrasment. |

Yuki sighed, staying with his normal pace so that Matsuki could catch up once more. Yuki: "What is it, kid? In case you haven't noticed, I am busy." He placed another stick of pocky in his mouth and continued with his walk. |

"They say that there's a special treasure at the very ends of Doransness. I've always wanted to get it, as it says that the finder or finders will their greatest wishes granted. I'm sure I couldn't do that all alone. I know this is kind of sudden, but... could you travel with me to that treasure?" Matsuki said, smiling sheepishly. He didn't know why, but Matsuki felt like Yuki could help him find that treasure... it was just a strong feeling. |

Yuki: "Why don't you go run along and play. I don't have time for stupid fantasies of treasure hunting." Yuki continued walking, returning to the path he had previously set. It was clear that he did not care for dreams, disillusioned from all things he considered "ridiculous". |
