Pirates of the Caribbean: Wave of Speed By Linkmaster_233 Based on a fan-fic by KAKASHI_THE_COPY_NINJA Chapter 1 A Look into the Past “Drink up me hearties, yo-ho,” sang a young, brown-haired girl. She was standing at the rear of a ship, staring out to sea as she sang her song. “Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate’s life for me.” As she sang a man with long sideburns came up behind and grabbed her shoulder. She gasped in surprise, but was quiet when she saw it was one of the crew. “Quiet, little missy!” said the man harshly. “Cursed pirates sail these waters. You don’t want to bring them upon us now, do you?” “Mr. Gibbs, that will do,” said a man behind Gibbs. This man had brown hair, and his name was Norrington. Lieutenant Norrington. “She was singin’ about pirates! Bad luck to be singin’ about pirates with us mired in this unnatural fog, mark my words!” said Mr. Gibbs. Norrington smiled slightly and said, “Consider them marked. On your way.” Gibbs hesitated briefly, then said, “Aye, Lieutenant,” and walked off. But he mumbled as he passed Norrington, “Bad luck to have a woman on board, too. Even a miniature one.” He got a drink from a flask and went back to work. “I think it would be rather exciting to meet a pirate,” said the girl, whose name was Elizabeth Swann. Norrington said, “Think again Miss Swann. Vile and dissolute creatures the lot of them. I will personally see to it that every man who sails under a pirate flag or wears a pirate brand gets what he deserves. A short drop and a sudden stop.” Confused, Elizabeth turned to Gibbs. Gibbs had a piece of rope tied in a noose, and had put it on his neck. He pulled the rope a bit and stuck out his tongue. Elizabeth gasped when she realized what Norrington meant. Governor Swann, Elizabeth’s father, stepped beside Norrington. “Excuse me, Lieutenant Norrington, but I am afraid of what effect this subject might have upon my daughter,” he said. “My apologies, Governor,” said Norrington as he went about his duties. “Actually, I find this all fascinating,” said Elizabeth. “Yes, that’s the part that concerns me,” said Governor Swann. Elizabeth watched her father walk away, and then she turned back to the sea. She noticed something in the water, and watched as it floated past the boat. It was… an umbrella? Confused, Elizabeth looked out farther to sea, and this time, she noticed something far worse than an umbrella in the water. “Look! Over there! There’s a boy! A boy in the water!” yelled Elizabeth to the crew. The men onboard ran to the side of the boat where Elizabeth was pointing, and saw a boy on a piece of wood, floating in the water. “Man overboard!” yelled Norrington. “Bring him to safety!” The men began using a system of ropes to bring the boy aboard. Norrington inspected him. “He’s still breathing,” he said, relieved. “Don’t get too comfortable, fella’s!” yelled Gibbs. He was standing on the edge of the ship, hanging on to the ropes. “There’s more of them! And these ones are weird!” Norrington laid the boy on a platform and went to see what Gibbs meant. Governor Swann walked over to his daughter. “I want you to accompany the boy, Elizabeth,” said the governor. “He’ll be your charge. Take care of him?” Elizabeth nodded. “Good,” said Governor Swann. “Now go on.” Elizabeth inspected the boy, and suddenly the boy gasped and grabbed her arm! He was panting heavily. “It’s o.k.,” said Elizabeth. “My name is Elizabeth Swann.” “W-Will Turner,” said the boy, still panting. Elizabeth smiled and said, “I’m watching over you Will.” The boy went unconscious. Elizabeth continued examining the boy, and noticed something around his neck. She pulled it out, and it was a gold medallion with a pirate skull on it! “You’re a… pirate!” said Elizabeth. “Come on men, pull them aboard!” said Norrington. He was helping the crew haul up a piece of wood with a group of strange looking creatures on it. One was blue and had long spikes on its head, another also had spikes, but it was black and crimson, one was red with long dreadlocks, one was a white bat with purple wings, one was a tan fox with two tails, another looked as if it was made of water, and yet another two were bubbly little creatures that had tiny wings. Most of them wore shoes and gloves like human beings. “What on Earth are they?” asked Governor Swann. “I don’t know, but I’ll check if they’re alive,” said Gibbs. He crouched down in front of the blue one and started checking its vital signs, when suddenly it sprung awake and leapt up! “All right, who are you?” asked the creature in perfect English, “And where am I?” The men were astonished! “The question is, what are you?” asked Gibbs. “I thought all you humans knew I am! I’m Sonic! World’s fastest hedgehog! Now, where am I? This doesn’t look like the ARK,” said the creature. “Hmph. Can’t you tell we’re not on the ARK anymore?” asked the black and crimson creature. It was standing up, and rubbing its head. “Looks like you sent all of us back to the past, you imbecile. I told you not to grab the Chaos Emerald!” “Hey, this could all have been avoided if you hadn’t fought me in the first place, Shadow!” said Sonic. The two beings got into a heated argument, and the crew watched in disbelief. Norrington slipped away to check on Will and Elizabeth. When he got there, Elizabeth was inspecting him. “Has he said anything?” asked Norrington. Elizabeth spun around, breaking off the necklace and hiding it behind her back. “His name’s Will Turner. That’s all I found out,” she said. Norrington nodded and said, “Very well. I will get some men to take him below. It looks like we have some other guests on our ship.” He walked back to the two creatures, whose argument continued. In the midst of the fighting, Gibbs noticed something. Leaning to get a better look, he said, “Mary, Mother of God!” The men went to look, and saw the burning wreckage of a ship. “What happened here?” asked Governor Swann, concerned. “Most likely the powder magazine. Merchant vessels run heavily armed,” said Norrington. “Lot of good it did them!” said Gibbs. He looked at the crew and said, “Everyone’s thinking it, I’m just saying it, pirates!” “Now, you have no proof of that! It could have been an accident,” said the governor. “It was no accident,” said the red creature with dreadlocks. It was standing beside of the governor. When it spoke, Governor Swann jumped. “We were attacked by a pirate ship, just moments after we were teleported here. We landed on that ship there, and from the looks of it, the pirates succeeded in killing everyone but us and that boy.” “Did you get a look at the ship that fired upon you?” asked Norrington. “Only for one second, and the only thing I had time to notice was how torn its sails were,” said the creature. Gibbs became interested. “What color were its sails?” he asked. “I can’t really remember. That blast knocked a piece of wood on my head, but I think may have been black.” said the red thing. Gibbs’s eyes grew wide, and he made silly blabbing noises. “T-the Pearl?” he said very quietly. “What’s the matter, sailor?” asked Norrington. Gibbs straightened up, and looked normal again. “Oh, uh, nothing sir. I’ll go check the other ones,” he said, rushing off to the other creatures. Elizabeth walked back to the spot where she was first singing and looked at the medallion. She held it up and took a hard look at it. When she put it down, she saw a ship in the distance. A ship with black sails. A ship with a pirate flag! |

Well... It's not hardly popular, but here's the second chapter! -_-' Chapter 2 A Sword for Norrington Elizabeth woke up in her room. She was shaken, but otherwise fine. The dream she had just had was an actual moment in time. It had happened eight years ago on the voyage from England to the Caribbean. Now a young woman, Elizabeth stood up and went to her drawer. She opened it, removed some books, and opened a secret compartment. Inside was the pirate medallion she found on Will. She took out and put it around her neck, looking at herself in the mirror. Then, someone knocked on the door. “Elizabeth?” asked her father. “Are you in there?” Elizabeth rushed to get a robe on, and she tucked the necklace away in her pajamas. “Elizabeth? Are you decent?” asked her father. “Yes! Yes!” said Elizabeth. Governor Swann walked in, accompanied by two maids, one who was holding a box. “Ah, still in bed at this hour?” asked the governor. Elizabeth nodded. Her father threw open the curtains, letting the light of a bright, sunny day flood the room. Elizabeth shut her eyes from the light. “It’s a beautiful day,” said the governor. “I have a gift for you.” The maid holding the box opened it. Inside was a dress. “Oh, it’s beautiful!” said Elizabeth. “May inquire as to the occasion?” “Does a father need an occasion to dote upon his daughter?” asked Governor Swann. Elizabeth smiled and went to get dressed. The maids followed her. “Actually… I had hoped you would wear it to the ceremony today,” said Governor Swann. “Ceremony?” asked Elizabeth. “Lieutenant Norrington’s initiation ceremony,” said her father. “I knew it!” said Elizabeth, a tad touchy. “Commodore Norrington, as he’s soon to become,” he said with a smile. Behind a screen, the maids helped Elizabeth put on a corset. “He fancies you, you know?” he said. At that moment, the maids pulled the strings on the corset, making it too tight, and causing Elizabeth to gasp. “Elizabeth? How’s it coming?” asked Governor Swann. “Difficult to say,” said Elizabeth, who was having trouble breathing. “I’m told it’s all the fashion in London lately,” said her father. “Well, women in London must have learned not to breath,” replied Elizabeth. A butler walked in, and said to Governor Swann, “Milord, you have a visitor.” Downstairs, Sonic, the blue creature from the day Elizabeth met Will, was fooling with a candleholder mounted on a wall. Will Turner, now grown into a man, stood watching him. Will held a long, black box. Sonic pulled on an arm holding a candle and the piece broke off! “Oops,” he said. “You clumsy… whatever you are!” said Will. “Hurry! Hide it, and stand still!” Sonic hurried and stuck it in an umbrella holder. "I'm a hedgehog! How many times do I have to-" A butler walked past, and he nodded to him with a smile. After he left, Will glared at Sonic. Sonic was thinking about how he had wound up in the past. He and Shadow were fighting on the ARK, a space colony. Shadow kept using Chaos Control, an ability involving a Chaos Emerald that altered time and space for a short while, so Sonic tried to grab the Emerald from him. Shadow tried to stop him, but it was too late. The Chaos Emerald went crazy and sent everyone aboard the ARK, except for Dr. Eggman and Amy, for some reason, back to this time. Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles (the red creature), Tails (the fox with two tails), Rogue the bat, a thing called Chaos Zero (the creature made of water), and two Chao, one Hero, one Dark (the bubbly creatures with wings) were all sent back. Governor Swann came down the stairs. “Ah, good day Mr. Turner and Mr. Sonic,” he said. Sonic nodded at him, and Will said, “Good day, Governor. I have your order.” Will opened the box and took out a sword. He handed it to the governor, who unsheathed it and looked at it. “The blade is folded steel. That’s gold filigree laid into the handle,” explained Will. Governor Swann saw he was right. “If I may?” asked Will, asking for the sword. Governor Swann nodded and turned the hilt to Will. Will took it and set it on his fingers. It remained on them, not falling off. “The sword is perfectly balanced. The tang is nearly full width of the blade,” he said. Then, he flipped the sword into the air skillfully and caught it, hilt pointed to Governor Swann. “Yes, yes, Commodore Norrington will be very pleased with this,” said the governor. Will smiled as he put the sword back in the box for Governor Swann. “Do pass my compliments on to your master, gentlemen.” Sonic looked slightly surprised. Will’s smile disappeared and he looked at the governor, but it quickly came back. “I shall,” he said awkwardly. “Yes,” said Sonic, sounding more convincing than Will, “A craftsman is always pleased to hear his work is appreciated.” Governor Swann looked at them, smiled, and went to examine the box. “Thanks,” whispered Will. “Hey, I helped make that sword, too,” said Sonic. “Will!” said Elizabeth, coming down the stairs. Will looked up and saw her, and his jaw dropped slightly. Sonic noticed this and smiled. It was funny to watch Will stumbling over his words when he tried to talk to Ms. Swann. “Ah, Elizabeth, you look absolutely stunning!” said her father. She paid no attention to him. “Will, I had a dream about last night,” said Elizabeth. ‘Here he goes,’ though Sonic mockingly. “About me?” he asked, unsure of his words. “Yes, about the day we met, do you remember?” asked Elizabeth. “How could I forget, Ms. Swann?” asked Will. ‘Hm…’ thought Sonic. ‘Maybe he’ll do O.K. this time… He’s saying the right things…’ “Will, how many times must I ask you to call me Elizabeth?” asked Elizabeth. “At least once more Ms. Swann, as always,” he said. Sonic slightly smiled and thought, ‘Wrong answer. Next line will be ‘Good day Mr. Turner’ and then Elizabeth will walk away slightly annoyed.’ “Good day, Mr. Turner,” said Elizabeth walking away slightly annoyed. She left to go to an awaiting carriage. ‘Wow, I’m right again,’ thought Sonic. ‘Leave it to old Will to know exactly what to say to make a girl mad.’ Will ran out after Elizabeth and said, “Good day… Elizabeth.” Elizabeth watched him over her shoulder as the carriage pulled away. “You know,” said Sonic. “If you had spoken up sooner, that would have healed the bad line you said two seconds ago.” “Oh, and you’re a love expert, are you?” asked Will sarcastically. “Well, I don’t know about expert,” said Sonic with a smile, “But at least I have a girl that wants to marry me.” “Let me guess… She annoys the snot out of you,” said Will. Sonic’s smile vanished. “That’s not the point!” he yelled. ~~~~~~~~~~~ O.K. It's not perfect... But I promise it gets better. xP |

I've read the first chapter. It's good. I didn't think you'd be able to pull off Sonic and Pirates, but you did. I'm dying to use my old FFW criticisms from NSiders, but I won't. I will say that I'm surprised the men did not tie up and kill the hedgehog and his friends the moment they saw them. From the movies, I figured that is what the men aboard that ship would have done. I mean, some weird blue creature? Who knows what it could do to them! But still, if you did that it would stray too far away from the movie line. Which brings me to my question... Is this whole thing going to be the story of the Pirates of the Caribbean with only the difference of Sonic and friends there? Because then people who saw the movies will know what happens. (Keep in mind I haven't read Ch. 2 yet. The answer could be there). |

First off, ANOTHER NSIDER!!! Feel free to give out the FFW criticism. I always liked it. Did you have the same name on Nsider? Second: Norrington, Governor Swann, and Gibbs all have I think enough courtesy to give Sonic and co the benefit of a doubt. Third: Basically, for a while, this will be PotC, however, there will be some huge differences. I promise. Also, before it comes up, Chaos Zero from SA is in this (the thing made of water, for those who don't know). Why? I thought he would make a great addition. How can he be in this fic if he is from a whole game before this one? Simple: Gerald Robotknik is Eggman's grandfather, and since Eggman created Chaos, isn't possible that an earlier version of Chaos was somewhere on the ARK? Eggman could have used it as a blueprint. Don't worry. If it's confusing, just wait until the story gets going. I'll explain it then. ;D |

-_- ~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 3 A Pirate in Port Royal In the ocean surrounding Port Royal, a small sailboat cruised. Standing on its mast, holding on to the crow’s nest was a pirate with long black hair with beads and things in it. He looked down to see water in his ship! He jumped down, picked up a bucket, and started scooping out bucket-fulls of water. He looked up to see a trio of hung skeletons. He stood up and took off his hat. Hanging next to the dead bodies was a wooden sign reading ‘Pirates, ye be warned’. The pirate saluted. Men working on a ship looked down to see a bucket floating in the water around the docks. “Well, someone lost a perfectly good bucket!” said one picking it up. Not a moment later, the pirate on the sailboat came by. He was standing back on the mast, and most of his boat was underwater. “That’s mine, mate,” he said, taking the bucket back. His boat drifted to the docks, and he stepped down off the mast, which was level with the docks. As he walked down the path, a man noticed him. He looked at the submerged ship, then at the pirate, and said, “Hold up there, you!” The pirate stopped and turned around. “It’s a shilling to tie up your boat to the dock,” said the man. The pirate looked at the ship, well, the ship’s crow’s nest actually. It was the only part above water. It hardly counted as a ship. “And I shall need to know your name,” continued the man. The pirate reached into his pocket, pulled out some coins and said, “What do you say to three shillings, and we forget the name?” He laid the money in the book the man was holding. The man thought for a moment, then said, “Welcome to Port Royal, Mr. Smith.” The pirate smiled. As the pirate walked down the dock he saw the man’s coin pouch lying on a podium. He quickly pocketed it. Meanwhile, at the fort, the initiation ceremony began. Men lined up with guns, and Norrington walked between them in a ritualistic way. A man handed him the sword Will and Sonic had made, and he inspected it. All the time, Elizabeth seemed to be having trouble breathing… The pirate noticed a ship, sitting at a separate dock. He walked over and went down the ramp. When he got there, two strange looking creatures with guns stopped him. One was red and the other was tan. He didn’t know it, but these two were Knuckles and Tails. “This dock is off limits to civilians,” said Tails. His full name was Miles ‘Tails’ Prower, and his most distinguishing aspect was his two tails. Although he was young, he looked formidable with a gun in his hand. “I’m terribly sorry, I didn’t know,” said the pirate. “If I see one, I shall inform you immediately.” He walked towards the gangplank, but the two creatures stopped him. The pirate looked at them and said, “Apparently there’s some big and fancy to do up at the fort, eh?” The two things knew about the ceremony. The pirate continued. “How is it, that two upstanding… Whatever you are… did not merit an invitation?” he asked. “Someone has to make sure this dock stays off limits to civilians,” said Tails. The pirate nodded and said, “A fine goal, to be sure, but it seems…” he motioned to a ship far off towards a rock. The creatures moved back in front of him. He kept talking. “A ship such as that,” he continued, “Kind of makes this one here a bit superfluous really.” Knuckles saw the boat he talked about. It was a large war ship. “The Dauntless is all the powers in these waters, sure,” said Knuckles, nodding, “But there’s no ship that can match the Interceptor for speed.” “I’ve heard of one,” said the pirate. “Supposed to be very fast, nigh uncatchable. The Black Pearl.” The two creatures chuckled. Knuckles said, “There’s no real ship that can match the Interceptor.” Tails looked at him. “The Black Pearl is a real ship,” he said. “You’ve seen it!” Knuckles shook his head, “No. No, it’s not.” “Yes it is!” persisted Tails. “I’ve seen it, too!” “You’ve seen a ship with black sails that’s crewed by the condemned and captained by a man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out?” asked Knuckles. “Because all I saw that day was a ship with black sails.” “Yes, that was the Pearl!” said Tails. “Oh!” said Knuckles. “And so no ship that’s not crewed by the condemned and not captained by a man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out could possibly have black sails and therefore couldn’t possibly be any other ship other than the Black Pearl, is that what you’re saying?” The pirate was quietly slipping away towards the Interceptor… “No,” said Tails with a smile. “Like I said,” said Knuckles. “There’s no real ship that can match the Interceptor.” He looked back and saw the pirate at the helm (wheel) of the ship! “Hey!” he yelled, running up the gangplank, “Get away from there! You don’t have permission to be aboard there mate!” “I’m sorry it’s just such a pretty boat… ship!” the pirate corrected. “What’s your name?” asked Knuckles, holding up his gun. “Smith,” said the pirate, “Or Smithy, if you like.” “What’s your business in Port Royal, Mr. Smith?” asked Knuckles, clearly not convinced by the name given by the pirate. “Yeah, and no lies!” said Tails. The pirate looked at them and said, leaning on the helm, “All right then, I confess. It is my intention to commandeer one of these ships, pick up a crew in Tortuga, raid, pillage, plunder, and otherwise pilfer my weaselly black guts out!” The two soldier-things paused, and Tails said, “I said no lies!” “I think he’s telling the truth,” said Knuckles, slightly astonished. “If he were telling the truth, he wouldn’t have told us!” said Tails. “Or maybe he knew you wouldn’t believe the truth, even if he told it to you,” said the pirate with a smile. Tails smiled and nodded, then stopped and frowned. At the fort, Norrington asked Elizabeth if he could have a word alone with her. “I apologize if I seem forward, but… I must speak my mind,” he said. “This… promotion throws into sharp relief that which I have not yet achieved,” he looked at Elizabeth, “A marriage to a fine woman. You have become a fine woman, Elizabeth.” “I can’t breath,” gasped Elizabeth. “I know,” said Norrington, unaware Elizabeth actually couldn’t breathe. “I’m a bit nervous myself, actually,” he said. Then, Elizabeth fell over the wall and plummeted off the cliff! She fell in the water, barely missing some jagged rocks! ~~~~~~~~~~~ M3h. Kind of an uneventful chapter. Also, you may have noticed that I added in a couple of things that have nothing do with Sonic or PotC. (The bucket thing) Some of the things I put in here are either deleted scenes or are inspired by deleted scenes. Some of them are also stuff I just come up with an add in to make it more original. Also, be on the lookout for a cameo of KAKASHI_THE_COPY_NINJA. He is the one from Nsider that inspired me to write this story. :riight: |

Chapter 4 Captain Jack Sparrow “Elizabeth?” asked Norrington, noticing she was gone. He ran over to the edge, and noticed her fall! “Elizabeth!” he yelled. He started pulling off his jacket to dive, but his lieutenant stopped him. “The rocks!” he said, grabbing Norrington, “Sir, it’s a miracle she missed them!” Meanwhile, on the Interceptor, the pirate continued talking to the two creatures. “And then they made me their chief,” he said. At that moment, Elizabeth hit the water next to them. The three ran to the side of the boat. When neither of the animals jumped in, the pirate asked the two-tailed fox, “Will you be saving her, then?” “I can’t swim!” said Tails. The pirate looked at Knuckles, who shook his head. It had been a long time since he went swimming. The pirate looked at them both again and said, “Pride of the king’s Royal Navy you are. Here,” he said, taking off his belt, hat, and gun and handing them to Knuckles. “Do not lose these.” The pirate jumped in after Elizabeth. As he dived deeper, a shockwave came off of the medallion. The water rippled. “What was that?” asked Tails. Knuckles shrugged. At that moment, the wind change direction. Tails and Knuckles looked at each other. “Now that’s strange,” said Tails. The pirate pulled Elizabeth to the surface, but he got pulled back under due to the weight of the wet dress. He cut open the dress, and then laid her up on the dock where Knuckles and Tails were. Knuckles inspected her. “Not breathing!” he said. “Move!” said the pirate. He pushed Knuckles out of the way and cut the corset off of Elizabeth, handing it to Tails. Elizabeth coughed up water, breathing again. “Never would’ve thought of that!” said Knuckles. “Clearly you’ve never been to Singapore,” said the pirate. Norrington walked up to the pirate, who was bending over Elizabeth. He was accompanied by a group of soldiers and Governor Swann. “On your feet,” he ordered. He had his sword pointed at the pirate’s forehead. The pirate stood up, as Norrington asked. The commodore looked at Tails, who was holding the corset. He dropped it and pointed to the pirate. “Shoot him!” said Governor Swann. “Father!” yelled Elizabeth, halting the pirate’s execution, “Commodore, do you really intend to kill my rescuer?” Norrington looked at the pirate, then sheathed his sword and held out his hand. “I believe thanks are in order,” he said. The pirate looked reluctant, but took Norrington’s hand. Norrington pulled him in and pulled up the pirate’s sleeve, revealing a brand of the letter ‘P’. “Have a brush with the East India Trading Company, did we? Pirate?” asked Commodore Norrington with a smile. The pirate frowned. “Hang him!” insisted Governor Swann. “Guns at the ready, men!” ordered Norrington. He then motioned to his lieutenant and said, “Gillette, fetch some irons!” Norrington pushed the pirate’s sleeve up farther, showing a tattoo of a bird flying over the ocean. “Well, well, Jack Sparrow, isn’t it?” asked Norrington, dropping the pirate’s hand. “Captain Jack Sparrow,” corrected Jack. “I don’t see your ship, captain,” said Norrington, looking around. “I’m in the market… As it were,” said Jack with a smile. “He said he come to commandeer one,” said Tails. “Told you he was telling the truth!” said Knuckles. “These are his, sir!” He handed Norrington Jack’s items. The commodore looked at them. He picked up the gun and said, “No additional shots, nor powder,” then a compass, “A compass that doesn’t point north,” and lastly the sword, “And I half expected it to be made of wood.” Then Norrington looked Jack straight in the eye and said, “You are, without a doubt the worst pirate I’ve never heard of.” Jack smiled and said, “But you have heard of me.” Norrington grabbed Jack and pulled him over to Gillette, who now had a pair of iron cuffs. “Commodore, I really must protest!” said Elizabeth. “Pirate, or not, this man saved my life!” “One good deed is not enough to redeem a man of a lifetime of wickedness,” said Norrington. “Though it seems enough to condemn him,” said Jack sarcastically, who was being cuffed. Norrington paused a moment then said, “Indeed.” Then, Gillette got the cuffs on Jack. “Finally,” said Jack. Suddenly, he grabbed Elizabeth so that he could choke her with the chain. Of course, Elizabeth was his way out. “No! Wait! Don’t shoot!” yelled Governor Swann. “I knew you’d warm up to me,” whispered Jack into Elizabeth’s ear. “Commodore, my effects please. And my hat!” Norrington hesitated. “Commodore!” persisted Jack. He looked reluctant, but Norrington handed over Jack’s belt and hat. “Elizabeth, it is Elizabeth, isn’t it?” asked Jack. “It’s Ms. Swann!” Elizabeth said with gritted teeth. “Well, Ms. Swann, if you would be so kind,” said Jack. “Come, come, dear. We don’t have all day.” Elizabeth took Jack’s things. Jack grabbed his pistol and held it to her head. Then, he spun her around and said, “Now if you would be very kind.” Elizabeth hesitated, but she finally put Jack’s hat on his head and attached his belt. As she was hooking the belt, Jack looked at Norrington. The commodore rolled his eyes. Jack smiled. “Easy on the goods, darling,” he said to Elizabeth. “You’re despicable,” said Elizabeth when she was done. “Sticks and stones, love,” said Jack. “I saved your life, you save mine. We’re square.” Then, he spun Elizabeth back around and said, “Gentlemen, milady, you will all remember this as the day you almost caught… Captain… Jack… Sparrow!” Then, he let Elizabeth go free, pushing her into the men! The grabbed a rope and kicked a device on the pulley holding the rope to rise into the air! “That’s it!” yelled Knuckles, throwing down his gun. “I quit! After what I’ve seen today, I’m never being a guard again!” Then, he walked off. Tails threw down his gun, too, and ran after Knuckles. |

And now, a little Christmas present... The fight between Will and Jack!!! :riight: ~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 5 Battle in the Blacksmith’s “Now will you shoot him?” asked Governor Swann. “Open fire!” yelled Commodore Norrington. His men immediately started shooting at Jack, who was now spinning around, hanging on to the rope for dear life! He swung around, and landed on the top of another pulley. Then, he used the chain on the cuffs to slide down a rope. He ran off, dodging bullets from soldiers. “Gillette!” said Norrington as his men followed Jack. His lieutenant stepped forward. “It seems Mr. Knuckles and Mr. Prower have quit their jobs. Please pull Mr. Murtog and Mr. Mullroy out of post to guard this dock.” “Yes, sir!” said Gillette. “Also,” said Commodore Norrington, stopping him, “Mr. Sparrow has a dawn appointment with the gallows. I would hate for him to miss it.” Gillette nodded and went off with a group of men to find Sparrow. Jack was running down an alleyway when he heard the soldiers coming. He quickly ducked into a shop. That shop was the place where Sonic and Will worked… Jack looked around the blacksmith’s and noticed a hammer and anvil. He picked up the hammer, but heard something make a low thud. He looked around and saw a blue creature with long spines sitting on a chair. It was out cold. Jack walked up to him and tapped it on the shoulder. The thing only grunted. Then, Jack turned around and started to walk off. “Whoa!” Jack yelled, spinning around. The creature was still snoring. Jack smiled. He went to work on the chain, hitting it with the hammer to no avail. Then, he spotted a donkey. The donkey was attached to a wheel. The wheel was attached to a gear, and that gear was attached to another, larger gear. He walked over to the fire and picked up an iron poker. The tip of it was red hot. Jack looked at the donkey and grinned. The donkey whinnied and started to walk quickly. Jack flipped the poker up and set it back. Sparrow put the chain in-between the two gears and waited until it broke, but right after it snapped, the door started to open. Jack ran and hid. Will Turner walked in and calmed the donkey. He gently stroked its muzzle, and then he walked over to Sonic. “Right where I left you,” he said. Sonic had run back to the store to take a nap. Will had checked on him before he went to find Mr. Brown, their master. Brown was out at a bar drinking, as usual. “Sonic,” said Will. Sonic didn’t move. “Sonic!” “Wha-?” said Sonic, jumping awake. “Ah, Will! Why’d you wake me up? I was just having the weirdest dream about some guy with a beard and a pirate hat stabbing the donkey in the butt with a hot poker. Pretty weird, huh?” “Yeah,” said Will. “That wouldn’t happen in a million years!” Sonic laughed and stood up, stretching. He yawned, and then noticed something… out of place. “Hey Will,” said Sonic, “Did you happen to use your hammer before you left to check on Brown?” Will looked slightly concerned. “No. Why?” he asked. Sonic reached out for the hammer, but the side of a sword came down on the back of his hand. Will took a step forward, but he knew that pirate could kill him in a heartbeat, so he held back. “You’re the one they’re hunting!” he said. “The pirate!” “Guess it wasn’t a dream,” said Sonic, half to himself. Jack kept his sword pointed at Sonic, but looked at Will. “You seem somewhat familiar,” said Jack. “Have I threatened you before?” Will looked angry and said, “I make a point of avoiding familiarity with pirates.” “Ah,” said Jack. “Well, it would be a shame to put a black mark on your record, so if you’ll excuse me.” Then, he headed for the door. All of the sudden, Sonic rushed in front of him, arms outstretched. Jack jumped slightly, surprised. “How’d you do that?” asked Jack. Sonic rolled his eyes and said, “I ran, you idiot.” “I need to learn to do that,” said Jack. Behind him, Will pulled out a sword. Jack heard him. He turned around and faced him, sword drawn. “You think this wise, boy?” he asked Will, “Crossing blades with a pirate?” Will raised his sword slightly and said, “You threatened Ms. Swann.” Jack ran his sword down Will’s to make a metallic hiss. “Only a little,” he said with a grin. Jack slashed at Will, but Will guarded! Jack tried again and again, and each time Will stopped the blow. “You know what you’re doing, I’ll give you that,” said Jack, “But how’s your footwork? If I step here…” Jack stepped to the side and swung his sword. Will mimicked him. Sonic watched admiringly. “Very good,” said Jack, “Now I step again.” Once again, he sidestepped and Will copied. “Ta,” said Jack with a smile. He had turned to the opposite doorway, the one that Sonic wasn’t guarding, and was walking toward it. Will hurled his sword at the door and stuck, quivering, in the piece of wood used to lock the door. Jack looked at the sword, then at Will, and then grabbed the sword and pulled. The sword didn’t budge. Jack tried again. Still nothing. Jack tried several more times, jumping up and down to try to get the blade out of the wood, but to no avail. Sonic was laughing his head off. “Quiet, blue-boy,” snapped Jack. Then, he turned to Will and said, “That is a wonderful trick, but once again, you two are between me and my way out, and now you have no weapon.” Jack unsheathed his sword. “Will, here!” yelled Sonic. Will turned and looked at Sonic, who threw the hot poker Jack had used on the donkey to him. The donkey brayed and started to move again at the sight of it. Jack even looked slightly concerned. The battle continued, and with each clash between the two weapons, sparks flew from the poker. Eventually, Jack knocked the poker out of Will’s hand, so Will ran over to the big gear the donkey was turning. Under it, there were many swords. Will grabbed one as Jack came up in front of him. Will parrayed a blow as Jack asked, “Who makes all these?” “I do!” replied Will, still slashing, “And I practice with them three hours a day!” Jack stopped him for a moment and said, “You need to find yourself a girl, mate!” They jumped off of the wheel and returned back to the middle of the room. There, Will threw things at Jack and grabbed another sword, but Jack blocked one of his blows and got into Will’s face. “Or,” said Jack, “Perhaps the reason you practice three hours a day is because you’ve already found one, and are otherwise incapable of wooing said strumpet. You’re not a eunuch, are you?” Will was furious. “I train three hours a day so that when I meet a pirate, I can kill it!” he yelled. Jack chuckled. Jack shoved Will back, and grabbed a sword off the wall. He slashed at Will, and the blade flew off of the hilt. "Apparently you need more practice on your smithing skills, son!" exclaimed Jack. "Actually..." said Sonic, frowning, "That was mine." The battle continued as Will backed Jack up onto a cart, where Will trapped Jack on a rafter with the chains on the cuffs. Jack pulled and fell onto the cart, which shot Will up into the rafters. Jack looked up to see Will cut a sandbag, causing him to shoot into the rafters also. The fight continued as Sonic watched awestruck. They slashed, blocked, and parried, until Will jumped down, and Jack followed him. Jack cut a hole in a sandbag and shot the dirt into Will’s face! As Will was getting it out of his eyes, Jack drew a gun. Will looked at him and said, “You cheated.” “Pirate!” said Jack. “Will!” said Sonic. He ran in front of Will. “I’ll protect you!” Jack rolled his eyes and hit Sonic in the back of the head. Sonic fell unconscious. Will moved in front of the door as soldiers began trying to break the door with the sword in it down. “Move away,” said Jack. “No,” said Will. “Please move!” said Jack. “No!” yelled Will. “I will not just step aside and let you escape!” Jack looked back at the door, then turned back to Will, annoyed. “This shot is not meant for you,” he said, cocking the gun. Will looked at him, confused. Crash! Jack fell to the floor exactly like Sonic had. Behind him, Brown had broken a bottle on his head. “You should be happy,” he grunted. “It’s not very often you’ll see me waste good rum.” Sonic stood up, rubbing his head as soldiers filed in, accompanied by Norrington. Norrington saw Jack on the floor and Brown’s broken bottle and said, “Excellent work, Mr. Brown. You have assisted in the capture of a dangerous fugitive.” “Just doing my civic duty, sir,” said Brown. Will looked at Sonic. Sonic was as annoyed as he was. Norrington then said smugly, “Well, I suspect that you will all remember this as the day that Captain Jack Sparrow almost escaped. Take him away.” |
