In the small town of Winchester, all grows quiet and boring during the day. Life goes on without much excitement; day by day everything stays the same. The area is hardly even known by most, as the town is simply average in nature. To the normal people of this humble place on Earth, nothing is out of the ordinary... with, of course, the exception of Twelve O'Clock Tower. Not a soul is allowed to ascend to the tower at twelve, as it is said to be the home of paranormal activity. Even deaths have occured at this tower, with no normal explaination of its happening. The spirits make their presence known to the humans in a variety of ways, usually by taking darastic measures. It is obvious that the ghosts of Twelve O'Clock Tower do not wish for humans to intrude upon this behemoth of a building, and mortals have respected these wishes, for the most part. In the point of view of the ghosts, it appears that their life has not ended, but simply began. Though strongest at twelve o'clock, spirits are capable to appearing at any time, though at only one place. Bound to a spiritual chain, the spirit is leashed onto the place were they had died in their human lives. This fate is inevitable unless something, or rather someone, frees them at last. Beings Ghosts: Supernatural beings, Ghosts can do a variety of different abilities such as possession, telekinesis, and other great powers that can effect the enviroment around them. However, they are unable to move out from the range of their Chain of Moira, and can not break the chain without the assistance of a medium. Despite being intangible, Ghosts can take a solid, seeable form, while still retaining their powers. Humans: Being the living, humans go through life without knowing the truth of ghosts. However, they are often the bunt of tricks played by spirits, never to realize the true meaning of what lies on the other side. Mediums: Mediums are humans with extraodinary senses and abilities, often refered to as "living ghosts". Able to see a ghost, even without the ghost revealing itself openly, all mediums have knowledge of the world beyond. Along with their sixth sense, mediums also have an arsenal of spectral powers and techniques, such as the ability of breaking Chains of Moira and of banishing ghosts. Their powers are determined with the amount of ethereal energy, often shorted to "ether", within their bodies, which grows with experience. Yet, mediums do not usually leak their existance to the public, besides TV Mediums who often do not possess actual powers. Character Creation Human/Medium Name: Age: Personality: Appearance: *Note: Biographies will be developed throughout the story, and should not be included in the Personality section.* Ghost Name: Age: Type: Personality: Appearance: *Note: Type means the kind of ghost the character is, such as a Fetch, Scepter, Doppleganger, and so on.* Rules 1. No god modding. 2. No super human abilities as a human. 3. No physical and uncharacteristic super human abilities as a medium. 4. No constant dogging. 5. No automatic hitting. 6. No killing or banishing other characters without permission. 7. No unprofessional behavior. 8. No unfriendly actions directed towards people outside of the story. |

Name: Kazuki Shido Age: 16 Personality: Quiet and serious, expressing little emotion outwardly. Appearance: Tall and thin, with short black hair. He perfers to wear formal clothes at all times. His most noticeable feature, however, is his eye color; purple.  Kazuki is headed towards school, occasionally looking at a large building in the middle of town. This building is known to the people of Winchester as the Twelve O'Clock Tower. |

OOC: Heres a small list of ghosts types: fetch, demons, doppelgangers, shadows, and poltergeists. Reaching school, Kazuki is picked up by bullies, the normal procedure of the day for him. Bully 1: "Hey Kazuki! Wanna show us one of your little ghost friends?" Kazuki: "...." Bully 2: "Yeah. Hey look at me! Oooo! I'm a ghooost!" Kazuki: "...." Everyone laughed at Kazuki, however, he did not seem to mind. He was far to focused on something else at the moment. |

OOC: Okay...I'll just stick with doppleganger, I guess. Seth sat in a tree, not too far from Kazuki and Jeff Seth: Man, I would give anything to be alive right now. Maybe help that guy out. But all I can do is paranormal stuff. Besides, this school is where it all ended, and I hate it... He grumbled for a while, with no one noticing him. |

Bully: "Jeff, your just a freak like him too." Laughing, everyone left for school, leaving Jeff and Kazuki behind. Kazuki: "Now that they are gone..." Kazuki pointed to Seth, his amythest eyes darting in the direction of the ghost. "Who are you?" Purple eyes happen to be quite rare for humans, and usually meant something signifigant about the person. In reality, any bizarre eye color or colors usually indicates the presence of ether. |

Iquis, obviously a little too interested in his book crashed right into Kazuki. He regained his balance and cluched the book at his side immediately. Iquis: "Oh my! I'm so sorry! Are you ok? I should've been looking where I was going...Oh, I probably hurt you emotionally and physically..." He then went on to make more excuses that weren't quite necessary. |

Kazuki hardly noticed Iquis, still staring at Seth. Kazuki's eyes could had seen very well that Seth was a ghost, and not a very experienced one at that. He leaned down by a tree opposite of Seth, and sighed. Kazuki: "Your chain is still white and unrusted, so you obviously haven't been a spirit for very long. Tell me... who are you, and how did you die?" Kazuki seemed far more talkative in the presence of spirits. |

Jeff takes after one of the bully's cause of boredom and beats the living (censored) out of him comes back and looks at the ghost. Jeff: Wow you have to be very young for a ghost. |

Kazuki shoke his head. Kazuki: "Please... leave." He didn't exactly care for Iquis's company, as Kazuki believed his gift was soly to be used to help ghosts find their place. To him, the dead were the only worthful beings, not the living. As such, he had a great patience with spirits, though was not above banishing any ghost who he thought was malevolent. |
