Guitar Hero Classic for the Wii; Petition for a "port" of 1 & 2

I'm sure that there are quite a few of us that wish the Guitar Hero series would be completely available on the Wii. Maybe, just maybe, this can do the trick.

Sign here, please.

And if you're really interested in the idea, forward the petition to friends too.

Meh, I really don't find it that important. We have GHIII - why do we need the other two?

@TriforceMan
You clearly haven't played the other games, then. Different songs, different characters, different feel, etc. I, for one, would love to play the Trogdor song and definitely can't do that on GHIII.

@CrimsonEXE
They don't have sites like this with zero petition fee so that none of them can ever work. Something like this isn't to force Activision to make the game. It's to show them that there are a lot of people out there that are interested. You have to think of it this way. Activision KNOWS that the number of people that will sign a petition are FAR outweighed by the number of people who actually are interested in the game, since a very small percentage of the market will happen by that petition. Given that, and the fact that they can count on around 75% of the people who sign said petition to end up buying the game, a petition with thousands of signatures can certainly give them a great deal of incentive to port the game.

Especially since a huge likelihood behind why the port hasn't happened yet could simply be because RedOctane hasn't even thought of it yet, and the hundreds/thousands/however many people end up signing this could end up being what brings it up to them.

I never said you didn't know.

But different petitions aim for different results, and this one aims for a result that a petition could actually achieve. The problem is just that a lot of petitions are for unrealistic results, or perhaps the petition isn't the best way to go about trying to achieve that result.

In this case, the petition is the best concept to use. And it's got high possibilities as well.

Speaking of petitions, have any of you seen the RE5 Wii petition with 27000+ signatures?

*Sigh*

First off, I have played the other GH games. Yes, I know, Trogdor, Thunderhorse, etc. And about "other" petitions with unrealistic goals? Well... we've got one right here!

And aiming this at Activision won't bring you any closer, considering Activision doesn't own the rights to the first two GH games.

Yes they do.

Harmonix made the games, RedOctane owned the games, and Activision bought RedOctane, which means they now own the games.

And for crying out loud, how's this unrealistic? It's asking for a PS2 port, which Wii owners have been getting a whole mess of in the first place! Seriously, think about it. It's a cash-crop waiting to happen.

Honestly, the petition very possibly isn't even necessary to get Activision to do this. The thing is, it's always better to be safe than sorry. Get a lot of support as well as pitching the idea to Activision, and your case is a lot more likely.

And you've gotta think about it. What harm does it do to sign a petition to make a bunch of people happy? It's not like you're not signing your soul over to me or Johnny Napalm or anything.

Isn't this advertising?

Oh, and the only petition i've seen came true was the Mario Party DS Petition, and the game sucks. xD

Okami is getting ported to Wii sheerly cause of fan clamor.

So, it's not too far-fetched.

To be, or not to be: that is the question. To die, to sleep; no more; and by a sleep to say we end. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause. That makes calamity of so long life, for who would bear the whips and scorns of time when he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death, the undiscover'd country from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will and makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all...
