I would suggest:

Mario Kart DS
Diddy Kong Racing DS
WarioWare: Touched!
Final Fantasy 3 (Japan Only, so heh)
New Super Mario Bros.

Father has good suggestions, except add Final Fantasy XII: Renevant Wings.

To be, or not to be: that is the question. To die, to sleep; no more; and by a sleep to say we end. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause. That makes calamity of so long life, for who would bear the whips and scorns of time when he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death, the undiscover'd country from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will and makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all...

Isn't that for Wii? I didn't know it was for DS as well...

No, FF12:RW is only for DS.

Crystal Chronicles is for Wii...but it's also for DS.

Are you sure? I'll look at Nintendo Power.

Yes, he's correct. Really... I'd say the only thing to get for DS this Christmas is Phantom Hourglass which totally exceeded my expectations or some other good game that came out earlier that you just didn't get yet.

QFT. Phantom Hourglass is a surprisingly good game, with fun bosses and awesome challenges.

Oh, you should import Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! (That's the Japanese Elite Beat Agents basically... well not the translated title.. the game itself is elite beat agents with different songs and everything else) It really is as fun as everyone says! note: you should get the second one, but I forget what it's called.

That is a purely awesome game. I love their song selection.

Haha, I have a friend who is obsessed with Elite Beat Agents. He keeps telling me to get it, but I can't bring myself to do it. I have too many other games on the "want" list ahead of it.

PHANTOM HOURGLASS! I'll say it again if it's already been menchened. I beat it just a while ago. Fun stuff. I might write a review.

The day that all nations unite... and Earth's full potential is reached, the day that all nations will work together to make this place a great one... Is not today.
