Unbeknownst to them, Mors was above the outside window listening to the whole thing.

"...this boy is trouble. I'll have to keep my wits about me when I'm playing."

He flipped open his cell, revealing the words on the screen.

"Light Hero, 11:20 PM, water heater explosion causes fire."

He closed his phone and looked up at the clock tower which read 11:12 PM.

"I better go grab something first...just in case."

Mors glided off into the night silently.

To be, or not to be: that is the question. To die, to sleep; no more; and by a sleep to say we end. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause. That makes calamity of so long life, for who would bear the whips and scorns of time when he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death, the undiscover'd country from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will and makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all...

(OOC: Dude2k, Malceure, Shadow X, I hope you don't mind, but I'm doing something that has to do with your characters.)

Kama heard a beep: "Light hero, 11:20 PM, water heater explosion causes fire." He grinned and pressed that special button; it changed to "Light Hero, 11:20 PM**, <insignia>". Kama veered into a different direction towards this Light fellow. He sensed two deathbringers, both very close to the human, both of them with a handicap on their powers... were they his servants? "Ha, this is going to be fun after all." Kama laughed manically as he ran towards his newfound target.

--------------------------------------

A beep played across the cell phones of Zion, Mors, and Voltaire. If they opened their cell phones, they would read: "SCHEDULE CHANGE: Light Hero, 11:20 PM, <insignia>"

(OOC:**it says 11:20 because it's already past 11:00, when it WOULD HAVE rounded down to.)

OoC: Ummm... Hellbringers don't hunt dude. That's the deathbringers job. Nor could they "hack" the entire network of things going on.

Mors returned from an unknown area and looked again at the clock tower, it read 11:16.

"Just a few minutes."

Myoukuro(I'm just gonna call him Kuro from now on) was just sitting on top of the clock tower, when his phone started to ring.
"Hmm . . . Peter Perkins (OOC:I suck at names, alright?) to die at midnight, old age. Well, that's no fun. And the job's about an hour away. And there's no pizza place open at . . .," he checked his watch, "11:18."

OOC: Kama doesn't hunt people; he became a mass-murderer for fun, and stole and altered a deathbringer's cell phone.

OoC: Still, he couldn't hack the entire network of deathbringers.

Mors looked at his phone, it was 90 seconds now until the explosion. Just a time of waiting.

Xerus, however, was standing on the rooftop.

Xerus: Oh my, it seems like everything is going different today. Oh well. Maybe I should check it out...

He spreads his wings, and flies toward Light's home once again.

The explosion resonates from the apartment, engulfing it in flames.

Mors jumped down into the debree, looking for his victim. But he was not to be found.

"...conniving little turd." Mors jumped back out and began surveilling the area for Light.

Voltaire wiped off ash from his t-shirt, unscathed by the explosion. Despite losing his ability to become intangible, Voltaire, like all Deathbringers, could not die simply because of a fire, or any other human means.

Voltaire: "Either this kid is lucky, or far too smart for a regular human..." He flew through the sky on jet black wings, following Light from a distance, in case something odd were to happen.
