Hey, thx for reading my forum. I own a ds lite and my L button sometimes don't work. It isn't jammed or sticky and I rarely use my L button, but now Im playing a game Metriod Prime Hunter, that need to use alot of the L button and it's making me mad how I sometime shoot  . Is there a way to fix my L button without sending it to nintendo or go to a store? If not, then i wanna know what cause my L button to end up like this when i rarely use it?

I believe you have to send it in.

You can try home remedies, but those usually void your warranty and stuff, which is bad if you want to have the option of sending it in.

To be, or not to be: that is the question. To die, to sleep; no more; and by a sleep to say we end. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause. That makes calamity of so long life, for who would bear the whips and scorns of time when he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death, the undiscover'd country from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will and makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all...

I've heard this works with regular DS's...don't know about the lites, But I hear that if you stick the L-button in your mouth and try to suck air out of it that it sometimes works. (or maybe you have to blow...I can't remember). It sounds stupid but it can't hurt to try.

It works on the old style DS, I havent tried it on the DS lite. [Blowing air on the corner of the DS I mean.]

I had the same issue from MPH. Blowing worked, but eventually I opened it up and stretched the the spring out a bit so It would still... work as a spring. It was all crunched up from me using it so much. [I wouldnt advise that though, Its a pain to do, and it voids your warranty]

well, i had the exact same issue on 2 different ds lites....

it just became out of alignment, which im not sure on how to fix without taking it apart....

>< it is very annoying though b/c to get it to work sometimes, if at all, you have to jam it down as hard as you can...

sorry man xD

Ah, the oldest question: To suck or blow?

*snicker* Can't believe nobody took that one...

I've had the same problem with the L button. It worked itself out though, so I was relieved, but it's unfortunate that a lot of people have had this problem, since Nintendo has a history of making quality products.

Suck or blow hehe
