Ayame, normally quick to react to the situation, decides to allow Ken to know the truth. Ayame: "Come with me." He walks upstairs, and opens the door for Ken, meanwhile Esper is still having his struggle from the past he wish he could forget. |

Ayame sets a familiar book in the middle of the table. that book was Esper's journal, which he had picken up beforehand. Ayame: "I remember Esper very well as a little boy. Much different than he is now... well not completely. I remember, he would always be smiling when I would visit his parents. He loved life, and he never would even think about killing another person. In fact, he kept saying how he was going to become a doctor. It was always "I don't want money. I just want to save someone from the bad things." He laughed a bit, but returned to a bit of a sorrowed expression. |

Everyone knew the Tepes family was very wealthy by their business, and many people resented their success, as Voltaire's family still wanted to live with their childhood friends. So they just took him into the cemetary, a little boy like Voltaire, to a cemetary? Just outrageous!" |

Ayame: "Correct. In a bizzare twist of fate, the tomestone they had decided to place over his grave was filled with an innocent, and he was alive again. Of course, he wasn't the same afterwards. He changed after his death, and not for the better. He became obsessed with death, and he even killed my cat when he was 5 years old. The corpse was so decapitated.... it simply was not right. He was not right. Ever since, he has grown to love killing by such a great amount, that his hands began to throb when he goes long without murdering something. It is such a pity, because he was the nicest, most innocent boy ever to walk this Earth. And now, partly thanks to me, he is a sadistic psychopath, who can not be stopped unless he were to die again." He places his hands over his face, and begins to sob. "Why did this have to happen, to him of all people?" |
