Ignore reviews, listen to me. I saw this movie last night, it was great. It starts off, kinda slowly for my liking, with a trip to Singapore (there will be spoilers here) then a boat trip through some cold place.... When captian jack finally shows up, awesomeness abounds. A while later we get back into the swashbuckling, high action, at times hysterically funny movie that we have been expecting. There are also some dark and eerie parts to it, which make the lighthearted ones all the better. Sure there are still confusing plot points, and some convoluted stuff, but honestly, who cares? Awesome fights, great acting, good story. Also, I am happy because there are many hints that there will be a fourth one, which, if it is as good as the third one. I will be happy. I will not go as far as to say the third is better then the first, but it is better in every way then the second, and I would gladly watch it again today if given the chance. This is the best third movie in a series so far this summer, I liked it better then maybe even spiderman 3. Thiefo, out. (it totally owns shrek 3, that movie bombs.) |

Did you like Dead Man's Chest? |
|
To be, or not to be: that is the question. To die, to sleep; no more; and by a sleep to say we end. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause. That makes calamity of so long life, for who would bear the whips and scorns of time when he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death, the undiscover'd country from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will and makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all... | |

I absolutely despised DMC, so I'm trying to figure out whether or not to see AWE. |

You probably won't like AWE then. You never know though... OH! And guess what! I saw V for Vedetta and it is amazing! Up there with my favorite movies ever, possibly in the number 1 spot. I should've seen it earlier! |

Most of the "professionals" are blasting it, but many reviews by us common folk have been great. I plan on seeing it this week. |

Glad to hear you liked it, it is awesome like that. Anyways, I think I'mm gonna see DMC and AWE together when they come out on DVD so I can watch them together so they can flow more fluently. |

They do that to all the good movies. My sister said spiderman3 was great. The reviewers "Spiderman(the character) is a gay wimp in this movie!""There are way to many villians.""theres no action just shots of spiderman being a crybaby." |

Spiderman 3 was basically a comic book with a several-billion dollar budget. If you're into that, it'll be great. If not, don't see it. Or steal it. It's not worth the money :D. |

XP Yeah, dead man's chest is getting hammered. but I never listen to critics, they're a bunch of imbiciles. I prefer to listen to my friends, who I know I usually agree with, if they say its great, I'll give it a try. (Unless its, you know. Drugs or whatever, but were talking about movies here. so nevermind. XP) |

Personally I didn't like At the World's End all that much. It was just too weird. Curse of the Black Pearl was great. I didn't like DMC, and AWE is like a Dead Man's Chest 2...just weeeeird. Sure the battles were great, but the plot is just too weird. All this goddess stuff and coming back to life stuff. meh it was alright. I liked Spiderman 3 waaaay better. |

AWE was kind of lame in my opinion. It had good action scenes but I feel like it lacked any further character development. Jack kind of ambled through the scenes, but the addition of Keith Richards was AWESOME seeing as Depp modeled a lot of Jack off of Keith. In general, I'd recommend waiting until it comes out on DVD to save yourself some green. |
