I just bought this game from Target, and I think that it is one of the greatest RTS (that's real-time strategy, in case you don't know) games out there for the PC. Here's a short review that I think summarizes the game pretty well.

Story

Like every RTS game, C&C3 has a well developed storyline that take you from the heart of America to the depths of Africa, and then back again. However, unlike most games of this genre, Tiberium Wars boasts a full Hollywood cast that brings every detail of futuristic war to your computer screen. You can literally feel the tension in the air and the desire to bring the war to an end. It's just incredible for a PC game to be created this way.

Graphics

PC games always boast the greatest graphics due to the advances in this technology, but even though C&C3 is a realistic war game, the main focus is gameplay, so the detail put into the graphics are not top notch. That being said, however, the graphics are still amazing compared to the other installments in this series, and you will need a powerful video card to be able to play this game to its full potential.

Gameplay

Gameplay is where Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars stands at the top (in my mind) from all the other RTS games. The battle screen is a lot different than any other C&C and a little hard to get used to, but once you've played it for a while you can see how well it is integrated into the style of play. You'll need quick reactions and fast problem solving skills to pass some of the challenges that will be thrown at you, and the battle screen fully implements that idea into a blend of warfare perfection.

And even though Tiberium Wars takes more than a step further in the Command and Conquer series, don't think that all-out war and those superweapons have been forgotten. With three new armies at your disposal, be assured that all new technologies and, yes, even more destructive superweapons wreak havoc on the maps. I promise you, will all this power you'll have in your hand..err....mouse, there's no way you can't have fun.

Overall

If I were to give this game a score from 1 to 10, an envious 9.5 would be the outcome. I try to put aside at least one hour each day to play Tiberium Wars, and parting is such sweet sorrow when the time comes that I must leave and do my homework. So, with all being said, this is an amazing feat of game design genius. I applaud Electronic Arts for being able to create such an addicting and engrossing installment in the Command and Conquer series.

Uh... there is only ONE new army... the Scrin, the other two armies (GDI, Nod) have been around since TD. The battle screen is just like it used to be, the only difference is the SAGE engine, which is just 3d...

I was comparing it to Command and Conquer Generals, so that's probably where the misunderstanding is.

Generals wasn't even part of the Command and conquer series, it was a lame attempt by EA to bastardize the series.

Nice.

I think the low amount of ram and video card will prevent you from playing it though.

I'm no expert either but if you tell me your motherboard I could probably figure out what would fit. No guarantees I would be right though >_>

It would probably be best to ask someone you know who knows about computers, know any adults working in computers perhaps?
