solve for x and y
4x+y= -5
2x-y+ -1

First rearrange to get
4x+5=y
then substitute into other formula
2x-(4x+5)-1
then factorise...
thats as far as I've got. :(

if this problem is done or not, i believe that we should ask easier problems so that more members come and try them, and as we go on post harder and harder ones.

22,

10X-3=87

X=9

10(9)-3 is 87.

Could no one really get that?

I wasn't on in time... And I suck at algebra. But that was a piece of cake. almost like 100X100 you can't mess that up.

Here's an easy one
1) e^x = 12.

Then put it into an actual equation I guess
2) 10^-3x - 120 = 18

..Backwards?
3) 9 - 3 ln x = 6

Solve any... and round to the nearest thousandth I guess.
