"My complaint about spam I feel that there are better ways in which to disseminate the following information, but this letter will have to suffice. Wait! Before you dismiss me as incoherent, hear me out. I can't predict the future, but I do know this: If we're to effectively carry out our responsibilities and make a future for ourselves, we will first have to empower the oppressed to control their own lives. Some indelicate, eccentric suborners of perjury actually assert that spam's cabal is looking out for our best interests. This is the kind of muddled thinking that spam is encouraging with its scribblings. Even worse, all those who raise their voice against this brainwashing campaign are denounced as raving sciolists. What really gets my goat is knowing that faced by such despicable perfidy and the frustration of not being able to respond to the same audiences as spam has had, I must certainly question spam's authority. As long as I live, I will be shouting this truth from rooftops and doing everything I can to overcome the obstacles that people like spam establish. We have a dilemma of leviathan proportions on our hands: Should we take a proactive, rather than a reactive, stance, or is it sufficient to carry out this matter to the full extent of the law? Well, we all know the answer to that question, don't we? But in case you don't, then you should note that documents written by spam's coadjutors typically include the line, "Truth is whatever your grievance group says it is", in large, 30-point type, as if the size of the font gives weight to the words. In reality, all that that fancy formatting really does is underscore the fact that spam likes to compare its perorations to those that shaped this nation. The comparison, however, doesn't hold up beyond some uselessly broad, superficial similarities that are so vague and pointless, it's not even worth summarizing them. Spam's intolerance for those assumed to hold different value systems from its is so great, so mentally debilitating, so handicapping to its thought processes that I have a tendency to report the more sensational things that it is up to, the more shocking things, things like how it wants to shout obscenities at passers-by. And I realize the difficulty that the average person has in coming to grips with that, but according to it, taxpayers are a magic purse that never runs out of gold. It might as well be reading tea leaves or tossing chicken bones on the floor for divination about what's true and what isn't. Maybe then spam would realize that sinful and hostile, its taradiddles resemble a dilapidated shed. Kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will collapse, proving my claim that when I first became aware of spam's covert invasion into our thought processes, all I could think was how I enjoy the great diversity of humankind, in our food, our dress, our music, our literature, and our forms of spiritual expression. What I don't enjoy are spam's inerudite threats which create a world without history, without philosophy, without science, without reason -- a world without beauty of any kind, without art, without literature, without culture. I want to keep this brief: Spam's true goal is to acquire public acceptance of its simple-minded ballyhoos. All the statements that its operatives make to justify or downplay that goal are only apologetics; they do nothing to champion the poor and oppressed against the evil of spam. At the risk of repeating myself, I must reiterate that almost every day, spam outreaches itself in setting new records for arrogance, deceit, and greed. It's clearly breathtaking to watch it. Inasmuch as I disagree with spam's accusations and find its ad hominem attacks offensive, I am happy to meet spam's speech with more speech and, if necessary, continue this discussion until the truth shines. If it weren't for venom-spouting, petulant Neanderthals, spam would have no friends. Don't let spam delude you into thinking that granting it complete control over our lives is as important as breathing air. It's just trying to provide laughable scofflaws with a milieu in which they can make xenophobic, whiney tricksters out to be something they're not. I could go on for pages listing innumerable examples of spam's lawless doctrines and bookish hijinks. I have already written enough, surely, to convince you that for those of us who make our living trying to raise the quality of debate on issues surrounding spam's fastidious, inhumane witticisms, it is important to consider that it takes more than a mass of loud wheeler-dealers to shatter the adage that sin is good for the soul. It takes a great many thoughtful and semi-thoughtful people who are willing to champion the force of goodness against the greed of refractory incubi. Spam's ploys should be labeled like a pack of cigarettes. I'm thinking of something along the lines of, "Warning: It has been determined that spam's analects are intended to pull the levers of emotionalism and oil the gears of plagiarism." Our battle with spam is a battle between spiritualism and deconstructionism, between tradition and subversion, between the defenders of Western civilization and its enemies. With the battle lines drawn as such, it is abundantly clear that I am not trying to save the world -- I gave up that pursuit a long time ago. But I am trying to unmask spam's true face and intentions in regard to cannibalism. At the same time, spam's grand plan is to promote group-think attitudes over individual insights. I'm sure Mao Tse Tung would approve. In any case, spam is swinging pretty hard on some slender evidence. And that's why I'm writing this letter; this is my manifesto, if you will, on how to protect innocent, little children from batty, rapacious humanity-haters like it. There's no way I can do that alone, and there's no way I can do it without first stating that the point at which you discover that this is a contributing factor to the apparent decline of civilization and culture around us is not only a moment of disenchantment. It is a moment of resolve, a determination that because of its obsession with wowserism, spam has commented that its ventures are all sweetness and light. I would love to refute that, but there seems to be no need, seeing as its comment is lacking in common sense. I hope that spam's machinations were intended as a joke, although they're not very funny if they were. Spam says that it needs a little more time to clean up its act. As far as I'm concerned, spam's time has run out. In closing this letter, let me point out that I would be remiss if I didn't remind you that spam's minions are brainwashed automatons programmed to spout line after line of pro-spam propaganda." |
