Hi guys! I'm Teigh Penton and we're on our way to help someone who needs a serious computer makeover, from probably the most deserving family yet. Watch this video, and you'll see what I mean. *uses keyboard shortcuts to play a video on hacked WMP* Hello, my name is Linkums and I really need your help! You see, last year, everyone in my immediate family died from the bird flu, and all my friends moved to Arkansas so I no longer have anyone to help me through my daily life. Every day is a struggle for me and I can barely afford the WoW monthly fee. With the meager wages that I am currently earning, I find myself needing to choose between whether to buy food or play WoW; it's a very depressing situation and I see no escape in the near future. Could you please do me a favor and make over my computer?! I really could use the help. All I have been using for the past 15 years is this Windows 3.1... it has about 2 kb of RAM and 5 kb of disc space (the OS is running directly off a CD). Even with this small amount of processing power, the computer takes up nearly half of my house! It takes about 4 hours to load a simple webpage and usually crashes when operating Notepad. I need your help EM:HE! I just can't bear to show up to another LAN party, hauling my computer with a trailer... and even then it lags out on ASCII text Hearts. Hopefully I'll be seeing you soon! *throughout the video, sad music is playing and it cuts to videos of the design artists several times who are wiping tears from their eyes* Wow, that is just so sad. We've arrived at Linkums' house now and we're gonna give him a huge surprise! *designers sneak up to house with megaphone; Teigh pushes button on megaphone and high pitched sine wave comes out* *Linkums' comes running out yelling with joy* Linkums: Thank you! I'm so glad you came! Teigh: Yeah, we got your video and it was very touching. It's obvious that you deserve it. But first let's go check out your computer. Linkums: Ok. *leads him into the large room with the computer* Teigh: Wow... so this is what you've been living with all this time? Linkums: Yeah... Teigh: Well don't worry, we'll have it fixed up for you in no time... and while we're doing that, you get an all expense paid trip to Camp Hyrule! Linkums: WOOT! THAT'S NOT EVEN ONLINE YET! Teigh: I know! (there's probably a single broken link to enjoy when you get there) *Linkums goes away somewhere* Teigh (to all designers): Well, while you guys discuss what we're going to do, I'm going to call an old friend. All: Hmm... I wonder who that could be- *forgets about it and starts talking about nothing* --and that's all I feel like writing right now. Who says I should write more and who says that we (whoever's around) should make a short video of it? |

... This thread defies all logic. And I like it! |

To be, or not to be: that is the question. To die, to sleep; no more; and by a sleep to say we end. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause. That makes calamity of so long life, for who would bear the whips and scorns of time when he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death, the undiscover'd country from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will and makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all... | |

Strange things come up in conversation as the night gets later... It's difficult to find the point at which you are crazy enough to think of such things, yet sane enought to think to write it down and see if it's still humorous in the morning. In most cases... it isn't... but in some cases a brand new inside joke is born. However if you do manage to write it down and share it with people immediately, you can expand the range of the inside joke and bring it up to more people thereby earning more fancy points. (of course if you overdo it you lose infinity fancy points... and stealing someone else's inside joke is like... punishable with pain of a falcon punch) |

I know the feeling Linkums. So many things I have in the world of inside jokes come from slaphappiness/late-night stupidity. For example, it was so late one time at a friend's house that we were both laughing at completely stupid things. I said the word "Spartcus" and we both burst out laughing. Now, all he has to do is say Spartacus in the middle of class and I have to struggle to contain my laughter. It's kinda weird... But anyway, very odd. Very odd indeed. |
