Well, I am in cabin five, yay! I hope some of you guys are too. Heres what the letter says in full. One person picked at random gets a wii!!! WOOOT! Camp Hyrule 2006 begins the morning of Monday August 14, and here at Nintendo Headquarters we're getting really excited about what we're certain will be the BEST CAMP EVER! This year, each and every registered camper will automatically be entered in a sweepstakes to win a Wii console! We’ll randomly select one camper during the Camp Hyrule 2006 Closing Ceremonies, and as soon as Wii is released it will shipped to that camper’s home. The official sweepstakes rules are included at the bottom of this e-mail. You have been assigned to Cabin #5, and your lead Cabin Counselors are NOA_Princess and NOA_Mysterious (NOA stands for Nintendo of America). Camp Hyrule begins August 14 at 9:00 am Pacific Time, and ends the evening of August 18. When you click "Enter Camp" at www.camphyrule.com on Monday morning, the first thing you'll see is the Camp Hyrule map. You can explore tons of chat rooms, bulletin boards and other fun stuff by exploring this map. While you're exploring, be sure to visit the Trading Post to see a complete list of Camp Hyrule activities each day. Here is your Cabin Chat schedule (all times are Pacific Daylight-Savings Time). 10:00am - 11:00am, Monday through Friday and 4:00pm - 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday To access your Cabin Chat, click on the picture of the cabins on the main Camp Hyrule map. You can chat at Camp Hyrule whenever it's open, but you should be sure to show up for at least one of your Cabin Chats every day. By participating in Camp Hyrule activities throughout the week, you can earn points for your cabin. You can tell which cabin is in the lead by checking the Leaderboard. On Friday, the Camp Directors will announce which cabins end up on top. The contest is pretty much just for bragging rights, but the First, Second, and Third-place cabins will win signature files and desktop wallpapers. On the first day of camp, you'll decide on a name for your cabin during the first cabin chat of the day. Also, everyone in your cabin will have the chance to design an official cabin flag. To avoid technical difficulties, make sure that you have all of the necessary free downloads and plug-ins listed below. To participate in Camp Hyrule 2006, your browser will need to be configured to support Java AND cookies! Internet Explorer users will need the latest version of the browser to chat with us, which can be found by following the link below: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ If you do not have the latest Flash Player, follow this link for the free download: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/ To participate in chat, you'll need the latest version of Java available here: http://java.sun.com/ If you are STILL having trouble after doing all this, please remember to configure your browsers to ALLOW COOKIES. If nothing seems to work, send an e-mail to: camphelp@noa.nintendo.com. We'll do everything we can to try to troubleshoot your individual case as quickly as possible. You will be sent more information on the first day of camp. Until then, have a great week! Sincerely, Camp Hyrule Directors Official Camp Hyrule 2006 Wii Sweepstakes Rules Official Sweepstakes Rules NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE ODDS OF WINNING. I'm 7.... Why does only one person get a wii? I can see if certain circumstaces were right a whole cabin would cost too much but why not 5 people? I mean the people who run the site just try to kill one of their coworkers all day and the rest of the time googleing chuck norris, and if theres some time left they actually work on the site or magazine. I geuss i'd better try to convnce the NOAs to stack the votes. |

I meant everyone here. And it is hard enough considing you wind up with bratty 8 yearold kids who ignore everybody exept themselves when the name of camp has to be decided. Well since a whole cabin won't win wiis I geuss I don't have to mess with them if I don't feel like it. |

I'm pretty sure I was in cabin 7 last year. The only things I remember for sure were that we were called the Twilight Knights and that we were in last place. XD |

........I think that was the one I was in. I think. Because I remember everyone in our cabin choosing Twilight Knights, but it seems like maybe another (your) cabin thought of it also and got the name instead. |

I think most of the cabins wanted that name, but most cabins wanted and had twilight somewhere in there. I bet wii is going to be popular this year.. |

Oh yeah.... I'm sure you're right. I need to start thinking of cabin names now! and btw, I found last year's e-mail (the one saying that i got 3rd) Hello, Congratulations on being a member of the third-place cabin at Camp Hyrule 2005. As a member of Cabin 10, you've won an official Camp Hyrule 2005 wallpaper and signature file. and that's how it starts and stuff... so I was in cabin 10 last year. |
