hey, jesusfreak, back when you never posted.... anyone could post in recent news, and anyone could start a topic, I missed being able to post there, I think members should still be allowed to post there, jsut not start threads, it doesnt look "cluttered" at all, Its like the rest of the baord, its for discussions.

actually im taking Jesusfreak's side. the thief, while Jesusfreak was posting, the recent news forums WAS for admin posting permissions only. thats how i liked it. i mean, lets take the topic "[7/17] Tonights trivia results!". that thread should just be 1 post: the results. instead, theres 18 posts about bad grammar. think of recent news as a bulletin board that u might see in a hallway. u stop by it and read about whats happening, but u cant reply to something thats on it directly. if replies continue to be allowed, then it becomes just like general discussion or off topic. thats my view, i was kinda annoyed to see it open for replies personally.

Matthew 5:17-18 - "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."

Thats pretty much my viewpoint on the issue as well. The only ones needing to make threads there will be the admins, since they are the only ones that make the changes, but then everyone can respond to it if they want.

okay, if you look in Recent News I almost all the topics are closed. Do you know why? because something like the Final Fantasy board being added does not need discusion it is just there to let us know, that is all.

Most of the topics are locked because we didnt want users bumping old news topics... like "trivia tonight! 6/15/05"

And some topics in the News board are there to be replied to, for example, the camp hyrule registration thread.
