Thought about giving it a go, but once I learned that I wouldn't be able to use the editor until the full release, I realized there wasn't much point in getting a game started. To do list: 1. Activate NASL and USL via the .xml file/editor and tweak their rules a bit (number of games/teams, promo/rel spot between the two, finances.) 2. Adjust team reps (US-TFC will again be set to 5,000, with various other tweaks) 3. Adjust team reps (Mexico- each team will lose about 300 rep, which should place the bottom LMX teams at roughly the same level as the top MLS.) 4. Edit player attributes (MLS) 5. Edit player attributes (US internationals) 6. Activate/create a functioning CSL. In my last save, I had replaced the existing Montreal Impact Academy with one that was actually based in Canada. Didn't play long enough to see if this allowed for newgens to populate the team, however. 7. Edit the major tourny names 8. Browse the national traits for the US and Canada

Started playing FM13 today in MLS as NYRB. I just play the basic game without using the editor. |

It would be great if we could coordinate some of the add-ins. Have been thinking about the best ways to do this so that the files can be reused in future years and it's basically going to need to keep some of the components separate from the others. IE....NCAA should be it's own file, with little changing from year to year. INclude in it all the college teams, conferences, kits, stadiums, staff etc... but only merge it into the file each year of release once it's been run through the editor to update. Some of the other files - player updates/transfers, main competition changes, should also be done separately and only merged periodically (but while retaining the originals). That way, the core of the work that gets done each need not be repeated. Adding NASL, USL etc....is fairly easy, but when you're talking about mass changes, or adding all the lower levels or even NCAA by itself, compartmentalizing this stuff is the way to go. If you're up for something/a combined official FMNA effort, let me know. PS....I'm playing Venezia in the beta. |

I usually stay away from MLS until the final patch. I am doing what I usually do at release and managing one the newly promoted Premier League teams, which I have decided is Reading this year. |
