![]() After celebrating our US Cup victory, we come back to the practice field and prep for our penultimate game of the season. We're taking on the Crew, who have already clinched a playoff spot. This game will likely be a preview to the playoffs. My lineup tonight- ![]() Youngsters Rowe, finally back from injury, and Smith each get starts tonight, as well as Polak. Trying not to push the regulars too much this late in the season. Matchup- ![]() Kickoff... GOAL 19' Gaven 0-1 Villafana crosses in from the far left and Eddie Gaven is there for Columbus with a strong one-timer into the net. GOAL 41' Sene 1-1 And we equalize before the half! Agudelo patiently holds up the ball before sending in a through ball to Saer Sene who thunders in the tying goal. HT New England 1-1 Columbus Anyone's game as far as I'm concerned. We got the important equalizer and will be looking to build off of that. GOAL 47' Agudelo 2-1 Talk about instant reply to a team talk! This time it's Sene who lays a pass for Juan Agudelo and the American strikes a goal for the lead. GOAL 75' Mansally 2-2 Big mistake by Attakora here. The Canadian defender backpasses to his own keeper from a ridiculous distance. Mansally easily poaches the pass and the goal to equalize for Columbus. GOAL 84' Barnes 3-2 It's been awhile, but the Revs score on another set piece play. Tierney swings in a free kick and Darrius Barnes rises up to head home the go ahead goal. FT New England 3-2 Columbus After a thrilling 2nd half, it looks like both sides are raring for playoff action. I'm glad we got the win. Player performance[/b] GOOD: Agudelo gets the MOTM honors with a goal and an 8.3 rating, BAD: Polak at 6.3 and he picked up an injury. The table as of now- ![]() Look at Philly! A tremendous season turnaround for them, as they find themselves in 2nd with a game to go! |

![]() Our final game of the season pits us against Toronto FC. We hope to finish the year in good form that will carry over into the postseason. Tonight's lineup- ![]() This seems to be my lineup for the upcoming postseason. These players have played well all season long and will be vital for our push in the playoffs. Matchup- ![]() Toronto seem to have good players on their squad. Maybe it'll take a few years or so to get things going for the squad. Matt Reis is set to make his 250th career league appearance. Kickoff... HT Toronto 0-0 New England It's all been square so far, but we've been the more threatening side. FT Toronto 0-0 New England A boring draw to end the season. Kind of fitting I guess. Player performance GOOD: My squad actually turned in a good performance all around. Tierney gets the MOTM award for this game. BAD: Sene had a poor time up front with a 6.2 rating. Final table! ![]() The East locks up both wildcard spots. Now we get to the fun part of the season. It's make or heartbreak time! |

![]() The MLS Playoffs. We've finally reached this point in the season where no matter how good you were in the regular season, one misstep now and you're out. We're taking on Houston after they beat their interstate rivals FC Dallas in the wildcard round. Houston will play the first leg at home, then we head back to Gillette stadium for the final Eastern semifinal leg. My lineup tonight- ![]() Guti is back in there, as is Reinaldo. These two haven't been all that consistent this season, so here's hoping they'll pick up their games when it matters most. Matchup- ![]() They have a good front in Bruin and Cam Weaver. Harrington and Cameron on the wings will need to be shut down today. Our forwards will have to do well against Sturgis and Boswell. Matchday says it predicts a draw...and I kinda feel the same way. Kickoff... GOAL 19' Weaver 1-0 Not the start we had in mind. Watson lays a through ball to Cam Weaver and the young forward slots home the game's first goal. GOAL 24' Reinaldo 1-1 Tierney crosses in from the far left where Reinaldo strike it on a volley to tie the game up. Game on! HT Houston 1-1 New England A bit of a nervy first half. Aside from the 2 goals, both sides have had chances but none of them really close to being goals. Maybe we'll see more action in the 2nd half. GOAL 78' Reinaldo 1-2 Brilliant play by Alston on the wing allows him to put a cross in from the right. Reinaldo is there and can't miss from point blank range to give the Revs the lead. FT Houston 1-2 New England What a game. Plenty of chances today for Houston, but we're the team that makes the chances count with two good goals from Reinaldo. Glad to have the victory heading back to Foxboro. Player perfromance GOOD: Alston had an 8.1 rating, and Reinaldo, the MOTM, gets a 8.8 rating with his 2 goals. BAD: Soares had a tough time today with a 6.1 rating. |

Well, it took all season, but I found a bug in the game. I tried going into the second semifinal match, and the program quits on me. It's done this twice in a row at the same point in the game, so this isn't a fluke, it's a bug. I'm pissed and really sad at the same time Unless someone knows something about this, this is the end of the road for this career.

![]() The Eastern Conference Final! Remember when I said our last meeting with Columbus might be a preview of a playoff match? Well here we are, and we are looking for the same result tonight as we've done for the past few months- a win. My lineup for tonight- ![]() Attakora gets his start at centerback and Reinaldo stays in at forward. The matchup- ![]() Columbus are a good team and we have to be ready for them. Will Mansally get his total revenge by beating us tonight? Kickoff... GOAL 14' Soares A corner by Tierney is flicked on from the near post by Attakora to the far post where AJ Soares heads in the game's 1st goal. HT New England 1-0 Columbus We go into the break with a well earned lead. Let's keep the momentum going into the 2nd half! FT New England 1-0 Columbus We're Champions of the East! Great job boys! Player performance GOOD: Tierney with an 8.1 rating, and Soares with an 8.8 rating and the MOTM. BAD: Reinaldo at 6.0 We only allowed Columbus 4 shots on goal today. We absolutely stuffed them defensively! |

![]() This is it! The game we've worked so hard to get to. The game that, if we win, will erase all those years of losing. And it will begin my dream of building a dynasty in the MLS. The MLS Final Lineup- ![]() No changes, except for who's on the bench- that's right, back in time for what could be the biggest game of his career is the captain, Shalrie Joseph. His presence should be a relief for the fans, and spur the boys on to get the win tonight. The matchup- ![]() How many times have I said that Seattle is a good side that no one takes seriously? Well obviously, LA didn't, and they paid the price. We need to be strong physically and mentally against a team that can score quick goals on you. Walking out, I can almost taste the trophy. Winning the US Cup has helped calm my nerves a bit for this one, but how can I not be nervous? Shaking hands and sitting back down on the bench I ponder the game ahead and realize that I'm proud of my boys for getting this far when no one thought they would. I hope that everyone will have a great game tonight and that the fans will go home happy. Kickoff... GOAL 37' Soares 1-0 They've done it all year long. Tierney swings in a free kick and AJ Soares meets it with a volley across the goal and into the corner. The stadium erupts and we've got the lead! HT New England 1-0 Seattle It's been another nervy game, but we've got the slim lead going into the break. We've got to keep it up and not let Seattle catch up sleeping. FT New England 1-0 Seattle NEW ENGLAND HAS WON THE MLS CUP Not a game for the purists, but AJ Soares' goal gives the Revs their first ever MLS Cup victory. We are the Champions!! Player performance GOOD: Soares with the gamewinner is the MOTM. BAD: Who cares? We won!!! ![]()

![]() Couldn't have asked for a better season from the boys. Now we take on the offseason- who will stay and who will go? How will the draft play out this year? Now that we are in the NACL, will we be able to play up to expectations? |
