I am in the year 2044 in my current game. The last 7 at FC Barcelona where I have won the league 7 straight years but have failed to win the Champions League in the two finals that I was in.

Overall record (1627 games): 859 wins, 332 draws, 436 losses.

I have 13 cup wins and 10 league wins.

I created my own database where I made every US club playable. The US league had promotion/ relegation.

Eau Claire Aris FC: hired 2-18-10 fired 11-19-10
Aberystwyth: hired 2-24-11 fired 3-3-12
West Virginia: hired 8-11-12 resgined 12-13-22 won US Cup
Chicago Fire: hired 12-13-22 resigned 3-6-27 won US Cup; won NACL
Roma: hired 3-6-27 resigned 10-2-28 (hated Italian League)
Valladolid: hired 10-15-28 fired 11-11-29
Everton: hired 11-20-29 fired 11-30-33
Villarreal: hired 1-17-34 resigned 5-29-37
Barcelona: hired 5-29-37 - current

I definitely want to win the European Champions League with Barcelona. After that I will look at a mid table or lower club in France and play in Ligue 1. I plan to end my career back in the US at one of the lowly clubs to see how far and fast I can get them to the top league.

Humble beginnings indeed!

Good on ya, I've not managed more than about 10-12 seasons since it was CM2!!!

yea, I was trying to build a team up from the bottom but I wasn't getting the success I hoped for. A bad run and you get fired.

My game crashed in 2045, just going to wait now for 2012.

Wow that is cool. I got 5 years deep last year using a USA mod that had promotion/regulation. I worked the team from the 2nd division (replaced a team with my own Sioux Falls Underdogs FC team) into the "NA Premier" finished 2nd in my 5th season, and got half way through my 6th in the lead, and started noticing all sorts of goofy things. Come to find out the mod wasn't well prepared I guess. Oh well.

With the MLS being better in 2012, I think I might just work through it for a few years and see what I get. Perhaps if someone creates a solid modification, I'll try it again.
