I had 9p, only to let it slip away.

Was wondering, since I'm very much not American and don't even know how many of the things you people have, can anybody work out which state Peach Creek is supposed to be in? Like, I don't know, from geography, climate ... that sort of thing? |

Peach Creek has been stated time and time again by AKA Cartoons to not have a location. It is merely meant to remind you of when you were a kid. Of course, this idea falls flat since I wasn't constantly scamming in a Cul-de-Sac where it barely ever rains, while girls simultaneously beat me up and kiss me. I think that, based on climate, it couldn't be too far South or too far North. It would also have to be away from large urbanization as stated in "Urban Ed," so I'd say in or near Tennessee, but that's just my opinion. Just to re-iterate, it's meant to be debated by fans, so you can thank AKA for keeping the flame wars alive. |

Thanks for the help. I'd kind of gathered that it was meant to be one of those wobbly-things, but, being Englishkind, I don't really have the cultural background to even try and guess on my own (seriously, when I first saw the show as a kid I thought it was set in England - I was, and always shall be, awful with accents). So Tennessee? Is that the only rural state not too far north or south? (Honestly has no clue.) Anyway, thank you again. |

I'm not good with geography and climates, but I'd say it could also take place in.

I like to think it's on the west coast. Because a) there's cul-de-sacs everywhere, B) it gets really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter, c) there's a desert. d) I live there(sort of, in Arizona,) and that would be awesome. :D |

I thought about this option but the only thing is that Peach Creek actually snows. I know global warming is throwing everything out of wack but for the most part California and Arizona do not get snow. And if you were to go further north to Washington or Oregon, then you realize that the cul-de-sac does not get nearly enough rain. I'm pretty sure it's meant to be a generic location that can be really relatable, but I think Peach Creek is one of those small suburbs that's JUST outside of the big city. In the Big Picture Show the huge city appears to be a bus ride away. The Urban Edd episode confirms that pretty much all of the kids have been to the city at one point. I don't think AnimatED, Kirkland22 and I ever reached a conclusion (how could we?) but it wouldn't surprise me if the surprisingly detailed part of Peach Creek that was seen in Out with the Old, In with the Ed is located somewhere between the cul-de-sac and the the city (considering how ritsy a lot of the stores appear to be and how if you were a business owner you'd want higher foot traffic). It could be any city but at the very least I think it'd narrow it down to places like Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Cleveland (HA!), Pittsburgh and maybe Philadelphia. As a New York native I've crossed New York off the list since I can't think of a single suburb that can reach the city via a simple bus line :ponder . |

Glad to see a discussion like this get revived. You raise some good points, particularly about how all of the kids have been to a big city before in "Urban Ed." I honestly can't decide what state I'd like to place Peach Creek be in with regards to head canon at this point. I think it'd be too weird for the Eds to live that close to my home state/hometown all things considered. :haha Anyway, I really don't know how to feel about your theory that the city is right next to Peach Creek. I guess i just don't want to admit I was COMPLETELY wrong. :lol I guess Pennsylvania could work. Wait. How often does it rain in Pennsylvania? :hmm Also, why the "HA!" after Cleveland? Just the jokes people (including another CN show Codename: Kids Next Door) have made about it? |

I don't think it's right next to Peach Creek, but I think it's close. Close enough for like a 45 minute bus ride or 30 minute car ride. Something like that. The fact that a city shows up at all makes it simpler to narrow it down to states with cities that have suburbs outside of them (which is pretty much all of them), which cities can be easily accessed by road vehicles, and which ones are in an area that is really hot in the summer and snows in the winter. Narrowing it down to the northern midwest and parts of the east coast. That's my interpretation anyway. Based on accents and vernacular I've removed a lot of the south from the list of possibilities (I was close to saying Decatur at one point though). |

I've always said that Peach Creek's location is intentionally nondescript. It's supposed to be a run-of-the-mill American suburb with recognizable cul-de-sacs. I grew up in a house on a cul-de-sac in a suburban neighborhood of Austin, and maybe that's why I identify so well with the setting of EEnE. That was the intent of the creators—to establish a setting that the heavily American audience would feel familiar with. I guess because EEnE was produced in Vancouver, I've been more willing to flirt with the notion that Peach Creek is somewhere on the West Coast, like Trap from 2013 said. The Vancouver skyline is featured prominently in the BPS, with other sightings in photographic representations in "Truth or Ed" and "They Call Him Mr. Ed". Clearly, it is in America because they talk about Canadians as a separate group ("Know It All Ed") and they play American football in school ("Tight End Ed"). Could it be that Peach Creek is in Washington state near the border with British Columbia? Nah, not really. It's just a nondescript American suburb. |

I'm aware of and agree with the idea that it's a nondescript location meant to be basically any generic town in America. But I can't help but think it's somewhere in the midwest, and fairly north at that. Based on weather patterns at least lol. |

I asked AnimatEd about this on his Tumblr, and surprisingly enough, he replied with his favorite theory about the Eds living in Southern Georgia. Check it out. |

AnimatED, as insightful and knee-deep in E,EnE knowledge as ever. That's a very reasonable argument. That mountain area point was something I'd long forgotten about lol. |

How crazy would it be if AnimatEd joined us here once again? I'd be kind of nervous though because we're just a bunch of schlubs throwing ideas around. |

It'd be nice but at this point I've forgotten so much of what we discussed all of those years ago that I think I'd just be repeating the same bone-head mistakes/theories/ideas I had back then. |
