Could it work? Not "Right now" But in high school. They have some similar interest (cars/bikes) , kind of. I secretly liked this pairing!

Sorry. *Hides*

I had 9p, only to let it slip away.
That actually makes sense. Obviously it would have to take place later, and Marie would have to mellow out a bit, but I could see it happening in high school.

Would make for an interesting fic, at any rate.

I'm in a brain storming state .... Holiday brake , I have several ideas .... Just have a few more questions like

1. Would Kevin get into a rebellious teen and fight with his parents alot?
2. Can any one see Kevin Get a tattoo?
3. "Talking shop" means, what?

Let's see ...

1. I could definitely see this happening, and it's an interesting idea. Right now I can think of two ways for this to happen, but they are admittedly based on my own preconceptions and ideas about what makes Kevin tick.

I've always thought of Kevin as being a foil to the Eds in that he's more traditionally on the side of the establishment or authority (such as in the Valentine special where he fills in for a teacher and is Hall Monitor) or is the authority (such as in the cul-de-sac).

So from there I could see him either cracking under the pressure of being so lawfully-minded and rebel, or get in over his head and end up alienating people by being too obsessed with authority and the like.

2. Depends on if he has a big rebellious phase or not. If he does then I would imagine him getting a flashy tattoo meant to make a statement of some sort, whereas if he doesn't then I'd see a tattoo, if he gets one, being small and something very personal to him.

3. A talking shop is a place or community where discussion is the main objective without any decisions or actions necessarily coming about as a result.

Cracking under pressure? Ok, I've tried that before but ..In your view how?

I Kind of just saw him growing in to this rebel Just because he is a teenager. *shrugs*Idea laid out

I've got to admit that, when you asked for a way for Kevin to crack under pressure, I was lost for ideas. Still, I think your idea makes sense and seems quite interesting; I'd certainly like to read it.

What I said on T3E:

You know, I've never thought about that car/bike connection they have, Kev/Kankers may actually be believable after all... The Kankers are often interested in car parts, having several parts around their home and lockers, posters advertising tire irons, and getting distracted by abandoned car axels. Provided that Kev and the Kankers were able to talk to each other peacefully, they could probably hold up a decent conversation about their favorite vehicles. I think Kevin's room had something that suggested an interest in cars as well as bikes, but I don't remember what... I always remember him having a racecar bed, but I think his bedsheets just had racing stripes or something.

And maybe they could match up because they're different types of bullies? Kevin's a jerk because he wants to maintain order, and the Kankers are jerks who cause disorder. But yeah, they'd have to change a lot between now and high school in order to work out well... Kevin seems less interested in Nazz in the movie, but I can't tell if that's only because of how busy he was or if he was actually growing out of his crush. I have a hard time imagining Marie developing in such a way, though...

I can only imagine what it would be like to record a scene of them do relationship things, considering they have the same actress. XD

Tattoo response (same from T3E): Kevin got a tattoo of corn on his back in 'Urban Ed'. 8D

(the rest of this isn't T3E rehash)

Edd put it best when he said that Kevin is full of contradictions. He's a rebellious biker who wants to show his masculinity by playing sports and getting tattoos, but he's a suckup to the authority... Maybe he's only sucking up because it allows him to get his way more often, though? When Eddy pointed out Kevin's uncool reliance on authority in 'Stop, Look, Ed', Kevin quickly dropped that part of him and joined the anarchy.

By "talking shop" are you referring to Eddy's line in 'Pop Goes the Ed'? "Stop talking shop!" (unless I hear it wrong) It always sounded to me like it meant to stop talking about gorey things. I'm not sure if shop is an alternate word for slaughter, though.

SHARK BAIT, OOH HA HA!
"Talking shop" isn't any of those things when meant as an expression. It's simply talking about specific details of mechanical work. It can also mean being excessively nerdy or overly verbose about a subject not a lot of people will know about (i.e., Eddy's "stop talking shop!"). While there are such things as "talking shops" in the sense Purple explained, they aren't what's commonly being referred to when "talking shop" is used, at least here in the US.
