One of my favorite aspects of Ed, Edd n Eddy has been the urban rangers. So I made this thread to talk about the UR. For starters there's the urban ranger badges. Does anyone have a list of the ones confirmed on the show so far? I can only remember the Hairy Chest of Resiliance badge, Cry Baby Boo Hoo badge, The Homework Delivering badge and the Freeing Of The Fool Pewter medalion. |

I'm not terribly interested in the Urban Rangers as they were in the show, but I do find the possibilities they present to be interesting. They were the first sign of an organization in the show, and I like how this warranted them to help out around the school regularly when organization in the town started becoming an important part of the show in season 5. In the movie I'm making, I use them as the kids' equivalent of cops, and I also like how important they are in the Fusionfall game, as several of them stand guard around the cul-de-sac to protect it from fusion aliens. Another thing I like is how they are one of the most clear signs of continuity in the series, since Eddy's problems with them have a starting point and keep on piling up over the seasons. And because of this apparent continuity between their episodes, I'm able to surmise that when they gave Eddy the Crybaby Boo Hoo badge as a joke, they inadvertantly made him an actual full-fledged ranger and allowed him to reach his original goal from 'Oath to an Ed', because he and Edd were deputized back into being Wee Roaches during 'Ed Overboard'. : D I found a list of their badges on the wiki: http://ed.wikia.com/wiki/Urban_Ranger_Awards |

Thanks for the list.
That's one thing I've been wondering about for a while. Eddy's been able to get a badge so does that mean he's a member? Plus Eddy and Edd are the ones who freed Ed in EO so are they both entitled to the FOTFPM? |

To me it does. XD And that thing about the FOTFPM just occurred to me yesterday too... I guess technically they should both be full rangers now, especially Eddy who should have both a badge AND a medallion. 'Ed Overboard' is strange, come to think of it. I think it's the only time the Urban Rangers lose. They have their quirkiness often enough, but usually they come out on top from their squabbles with the Eds. |

UR did lose in that ep but in a sense they did get their revenge so does that mean that they won? Or is it not winning unless one of them received some sort of badge. |

They were clearly uncomfortable even while exacting their revenge (and at that point they weren't even acting like Urban Rangers, they were just embarrassed kids being led by an angry Rolf) so it doesn't feel like any sort of immediate revenge would really wash away that failure. |

Speaking of which, when Rolf said Code Yellow to signal the others to play dead could there be other codes the UR use? |

Coding levels of severity by color (yellow, orange, red commonly) is a pretty universal concept, so they probably do. I'd assume that their procedures for codes orange and red would involve attacking the threat. Playing dead as a response to your LOWEST threat level seems pretty bizarre, though. XD |
