I found 'A Town Called Ed' in high quality, so I've been taking screenshots!

First off, I realized I never read Edd's list of books. And I learned something interesting from it...

THEY WROTE "PEACH CRELK" IN ONE FRAME, HAHAHAHA.

But seriously, I learned that there's apparently an important pioneer in PC history named Thomas Dickie. Could that be the name of the Eddy-ancestor who founded Peach Creek?

I noticed this years ago, but when I got the idea for this thread, I figured I should include this. Apparently, one of Eddy's ancestors was also an Ed, and took the liberty of writing this account of what happened 300 years ago. Thanks to the show's tendency to use illegible script, his name is apparently Edwuliylm. XD

And here's all the etchings of the founding family, my favorites are the tall ones, the girls, and the babies:

I'd also like to point out that this episode suggests that PC is part of New England (having been founded by pilgrims 300 years ago), whereas the locations revealed in the movie seem to resemble Georgia/Florida. I guess all we can count on then is that they're somewhere on the east coast of the United States, possibly in a made up state that can embody all of these qualities. XP

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Interesting. I never fully paid attention to those details. The funny thing about Eddy's ancestors is that they all look bored out of their minds. My personal favorite is the one with the beard.

They're very easy details to overlook.

I forgot until now how amazing it is that the main Eddy in the first etching was allowed by the censors to hold a gun. =O Even though that's presumably an adult and the gun is kinda primitive/cartoony, it still looks just like the 12-year-old Eddy holding a gun, you'd think they'd have a problem with that since they have a problem with everything else. XD

Gabbylogic on The3Eds pointed out that in the last picture, everyone but the baby seems to be looking at someone/something off-screen.. I wonder...

I remember seeing the list and thought 'Doesn't that word say Dickie?!?' so thanks for confirming that realisation for me, AnimatEd.

I think that a LOT of pilgrims (not all, but...) came from the region of East Anglia, where I live. So having the thought that Eddy's family MAY be from Suffolk is now a real possibility for me.

Looking at the pictures, I have to say that my favourite 'Eddy' is the one with the shot-gun. He looks so cool, almost like as if he's in the pilgrim version of 'Left 4 Dead' or something. XD

I too have been thinking about Eddy's ethnicity according to this.... He's always struck me as Irish, but according to this episode he's most likely English (and/or Dutch? My colonization memories are foggy). Maybe he started out with that ethnicity, but some Irish got into his gene pool over time. There have to be some breaks from the pedigree, since his parents and brother are much bigger than even the tallest-looking pilgrims in those etchings.

Also, the county I live in is named after Suffolk, so that's cool. : D

Haha, yeah, I love shotgun Eddy. XD It's really interesting to see some Eddys with hair and others that are tall. Almost like we're getting to see possibilities for his appearance when he grows up.
