Eh, true, but I really think it's important to know exactly where things are placed. But that's just me. XD

I can understand where the artists would be coming from, but I know what you mean, if I ever have my own show I am forcing my storyboarders to stick to an official map. XP

Yes, for sure there are lots of hallways in 'A Fistful of Ed', and I am especially intrigued about the one that contains the soda vending machine.

I was bothered by all the soda machines in that episode too, but I'm a little more willing to accept that those could be things that were moved there between episodes, like dumpsters/trash cans in the lanes, than I am with the unexplained rooms that show up now and then.

And yes, I too wonder about that gardening room. It's probably a shared room on one of the top floors of the school, but perhaps not.

I don't think it was a shared room, the door was specifically decorated for a gardening class/club and also had a sign on it (which I couldn't read because of the low quality, but I'm sure it said something like "Gardening Room") and the inside had nothing but plants.

But speaking of shared rooms, the Happy Cluckers Club WAS in the science lab. There weren't any good angles to see the tables from HPH, but I do think one of the tables was visible close to the characters. The table seemed to be facing a different direction than in HPH, but it may have been a different angle of the class room than the one I imagine from HPH, or it may have been moved for club purposes.

What about the woodshop? Do we know where it's located?

No, I think that's only appeared in 'Mission Ed-Possible' and 'Cool Hand Ed', and both times the camera was focused on being inside the room. 'Cool Hand Ed' does have a shot of Eddy outside the door, but it's not really very informative from a mapping perspective.

Yes, I would too. I'd make the official map first and make sure EVERY episode-to-be-made stuck to the map almost perfectly. XP

There were quite a few vending machines in 'A Fistful of Ed'. And then we get to see The Pit later in that episode, something we hadn't seen before. I can't tell... Is this 'Pit' off-campus or is it somewhere in the back of the school?

Yeah, true. I guess it's the Botany Class or Club.

I watched 'A Fistful of Ed' again last night, and I noticed several objects and posters around the room that could very well mean it's also used as the science lab.

Yeah, but I really want to know more about this room. Guess we will never know. DX

The Pit was in the woods behind the school (you see Eddy [and Rolf and Jonny] enter the woods by going past the football field). I've always wondered how on Earth that big construction device Eddy was sitting on got to the Pit... There wasn't a vehicle nearby for it to have been a part of and the Pit was the only opening in the trees, so there's no easy way it could've been transported there. Maybe it's refuse from some old scam that exploded (perhaps even from Eddy's brother's scamming days).

Hmmm... I'm running out of school things to map out, so I'll change the subject. If you think of anything else feel free to go back to the school.

Sooo I'm wondering where the cliffs and gorges/canyons are in Peach Creek. I kinda have a guess for where most of them are, but it just bothers me how they pop up here and there, I've never seen such a small area with so many drastic changes in land elevation.

There's the little canyon they have to jump over on their bike behind the factory in 'Dawn of the Eds', the cliff with a sewage pipe from 'Mirror Mirror on the Ed' that appears to be in the field, the cliff Ed throws Edd and Eddy over in 'Boo Haw Haw' which I think is somewhere to the right of the cul-de-sac, the little gorge that the Eds' path humorously travels down in 'Boo Haw Haw' as well, the cliff over Mondo a-GoGo (this one bothers me the least because the background artist was at least kind enough to show where this cliff is when Sarah and Jimmy are walking to Mondo), and I'm sure there's more, especially if you count waterfalls as cliffs. I don't think I've ever seen a cliff in person, so these cause trouble whenever I try to map out PC. I try to make them get gradually higher from the ground, so that it's now like Peach Creek is trapped in the center of much lower ground, but I'm not sure how realistic that is. I particularly don't feel like it makes much sense when it comes to the waterfalls (even though only the BPS one is canon), but that's probably just because I don't really know a lot about waterways.

This reminds me of another funfact, though: the way there was a giant rock in the middle of the desert in BPS is actually possible. When a giant boulder is found in the middle of nowhere with no other large rocks around it for miles, it is called a glacial erratic, meaning it was left there by a glacier back when the land was formed.

Yeah, you're probably right. Kind of a strange yet fascinating place down there.

I'll keep that in mind.

To me, the gorge seen in 'Mirror Mirror on the Ed' drops off to the creek below. I mean, we see water below Ed and Eddy when they are hovering over the gorge, so I assume that's the creek.

To be honest, most of those other gorges you mentioned can't really be mapped out, I don't think, because we don't have a good feel of their surroundings. Although, you could give it a try, but it's really difficult to decide where exactly they are located.

Aha, true. Otherwise it would seem a little strange with the giant boulder being placed there with nothing else around it.

I only remember seeing a pipe with a puddle in front of it, and some trash, so I dunno. A similar location is seen in one of the EEnE comics, as an exit the Eds take to get out of the sewer, but I'm sure the comics make up locations even more than the show. xP The gorge in 'Dawn of the Eds' had a creek at the bottom of it, I believe, but that was past the gag factory.

Well, it's hard to map out the early stages of the quest in BHH, but I'm pretty sure that once they got to the cliff there was no where else they could've gone but to the right, since, to the left of the cul-de-sac, PC is very developed. BPS' one seems the easiest to map out, as I already explained. The one in 'Dawn of the Eds' presumably went past the Gag factory (and possibly the construction building, I don't remember) so maybe that's part of that too. Actually, come to think of it, I guess we could add some of the locations in 'Dawn of the Eds' to our vision of Lemon Brook, now that we know that factory is in Lemon Brook! Maybe the waterway at the bottom of that gorge was related to the titular brook or the waterfall/stream/swamp!

My small detour from the previous discussion has caused me to have an unexpected new spark of interest in the show's map! AMAZING! 8D

Huh, I'll have to watch that episode again tomorrow and perhaps take a screenshot when Ed and Eddy are above the gorge.

Interesting theory. Too bad we don't know for sure.

That's great! :D Though, I've always had an interest in the show's map. XD

Our next task is to observe that map of the cul-de-sac in 'O-Ed Eleven' and see if it matches the map of the cul-de-sac on Edtropolis.Com. I'd really like to compare the two, perhaps I'll find something interesting.

No need, I took two pics for you!

And I looked at the 'Dawn of the Eds' thing and I may have mistaken it for a creek when I made my first map 2 years ago (Edit: not sure what I was thinking, that was like 4-5 years ago), but looking at it now, I think they just colored the grass blue. I also took a good look at the factory in that scene and it does look pretty different than the BPS one, but I don't mind, that's still Lemon Brook as far as I care. XP So going into Lemon Brook from the cul-de-sac, you would see Gag Factory, small gorge, and construction company... and then I'm gonna say the pipe they took back to the junkyard is non-canon and existed just so the story could take place.

I have too, but I just kinda cycle in and out of finding it really interesting. Sometimes I feel like I mapped everything and then something like this happens where I realize we've seen more of an area than I thoguht. XD

It's pretty much the official map, just simplified. The only real changes I've noticed are that there appears to be a symbol similar to the symbol Edd's map uses for the creek on the other side of the woods behind Edd's house (suggesting another waterway back there), and what seems to be a road to the trailer park, although it is not colored like a road and there's no real drawing for the trailer park's property.

Also, since I was in Windows Movie Maker anyway, I decided to get you guys some nice screenshots of things we've mentioned before!

Cafe Fondue and Shop, and this time we can read what the newspapers are called, see the 'Since 1998' sign, and almost make out what's written UNDER "Cafe Fondue" (looks like something about Snacks).

Here's a shot I loooooove from 'Out With the Old, In With the Ed', that episode has a lot of really nice backgrounds (there seem to be some uncolored trees on the righthand side):

Posted Image

And here's a shot I don't really like from 'For The Ed By The Ed' because it makes no sense:

Posted Image

This street is where the lane should be, Jimmy and Jonny are running down to the cul-de-sac as if they're somehow going to get to it be walking along the street NEXT to it, they messed up the distance between Jonny's and Nazz's houses so now Jimmy's house is too far from the center of the circle, and the electrical towers are going in the direction they would be going in if this was the same angle from the official map.

Thanks for those screenshots! :D Huh, it appears maybe the creek isn't in that gorge.

Yeah, it's too bad we don't have a map that details every little thing about the Peach Creek area. Still, it's fun to piece things together in this thread the best we can. :)

I like that pic!! In fact, that really shows us a lot on the right side of the picture. You see those electrical towers in nice detail, and the crossroad continue to lead in that direction. and even past the crossroad, at the top of the picture, there's a lot of stuff back there to see. Fascinating screenshot!

I'm more interested in the left side than the right side. It kind of bothers me that they didn't draw ANY houses or stores or even WOODS on the right side, it seems so unfinished! Especially because they didn't color in the trees (or what I assume are trees) on the right. But I had forgotten how many things they drew on the left, so I really like look at that. XD

Yeah, I think they meant to just have Jonny and Jimmy run down the street of Rethink to the circle, but they messed it up by putting the Eds in such a vague location.

True, you'd think the Eds would be somewhere in the lane, or some other place. Not sure if there are any other screenshots that are so messed up like this one. XD

Well, as far as streets and the houses they did draw go, I'd say it's canon. It's just not canon that there's NOTHING on the right, since BPS clarifies that the shopping district would be over there.

...OH NO! Have we run out of things to map out again!? Um um um... Okay, how about this: There seem to be 3 bus stops in the show, if I remember correctly. One by the candy store which is serviced by the orange busline in BPS, one on a nondescript street with houses that is serviced by the Danderhound busline in 'Who Let The Ed In?', and in that shot of the school in BPS you can also see a bus stop on the street next to the gym. What I'm asking is, where do we think the Danderhound bus stop is? The stop itself appeared to be in front of a vacant lot, but in other shots we can see that it's next to (or in the middle of) a row of houses. Since there's a stop to the left of the cul-de-sac and a stop to the right, should this one be below the cul-de-sac, on one of the streets the Eds would've flown over before reaching the desert? I guess it'd have to be somewhere closeby, if the kids chose it over either of the other two bus stops, unless Danderhound is just more affordable.

I keep feeling tempted to bring this up, but it seems unnecessary because it's basically just fanart, but for the movie I'm making, I've had to design a few new locations and placed a supermarket across from the Danderhound bus stop. And if we feel like mapping out any of the other places I've had to make up, I also made a food-oriented section of the shopping district, a bar across from the Community Pool (mainly just so I could include EVERY location), and I think I'm gonna have to design a mall on my own for this as well. xP If only we had gotten to see more of Peach Creek! I wouldn't have to come up with this stuff myself and feel like I'm cheating with this fan movie.

I am guessing that this said "Danderhouse" bus stop is in the commercial district; perhaps a different one than the one that contains the candy store and other stores we've mapped out. Maybe this is in Lemon Brook? Who knows, could be anywhere, really.

I need to check out your fanwork, I'll admit I haven't done more than click on your "View Participation" threads here and at T3E. =O I think, since it's your fanwork, you can design things the way you want them to be, regardless of how they are in the show. I know you like staying canon with EEnE, but since it's fanfiction/fanart, go ahead and freelance. My first three fanfics, The Destruction of Rethink Ave - The Sequel, Ed, Edd n Eddy's Quest For Quarters, and the Collapse of the Haunted House, I stayed in canon with EEnE, but then on my next to fics, Rolf's Journey to the Distant Meadows and Edless Winter, I freelanced and I liked them better, actually. My next fic is REALLY going to go against canon-EEnE, I think. So what you need to remember, is that since it's your fanwork, add new things, reorganize the locations of old stores, and so forth. Just a hint.

Why would they go all the way to Lemon Brook for the Danderhound bus when there's two other bus stops right by them? XD For it to make sense with where I placed it in my movie, it would have to be down closer to the school, based on evidence in 'Eds or Tails' that the supermarket is somewhere to the right of the cul-de-sac. But I could've placed it anywhere, really. xP

I know, but I want this to feel like a real EEnE movie, so I need to make it look as much like the real thing and follow the official map as close as I possibly can. If I don't then there's no point in making it. DX It's not for my pleasure (except for maybe when I look back at it in the future), it's to pay tribute to the show and make the fans feel like they're watching a new EEnE production. Although I did take advantage of the non-canon connection of the school and the stores in 'Every Which Way But Ed' and made a lane lead from the school to the Candy Store. =P

True, I doubt they would have gone to Lemon Brook, but it was just a theory. Most likely, it was somewhere on another road in the commercial district of Peach Creek, I dunno.

Well, that's good! Let me know when you complete this movie, I'd like to watch it. =D

If there's nothing else to talk about, could we discuss the parking lot of PCJH? I think in some episodes it's in different places, though I could be wrong.

I think they're pretty consistent with it being placed next to the main building, but the design itself kinda changes every now and then. Like, it seems a LOT longer when the kids are going to school in 'Out With the Old..' and it needed to be bigger to fit the parents' cars in 'Too Smart...' And sometimes it has a basketball hoop, and other times there's a whole basketball court behind it. And I guess technically sometimes it's closer to the main road than it should be, but that's only because the background artists sometimes merge the bus turnaround with the main road in front of the school.

Yay! Thank you. And if you want, I can also participate in the EEnE discussions at The3Eds too, because I understand that it's more popular and visited the most. Though I actually prefer E2E, to be honest, things go too fast at T3E for me. DX

And sometimes it has a basketball hoop, and other times there's a whole basketball court behind it. And I guess technically sometimes it's closer to the main road than it should be, but that's only because the background artists sometimes merge the bus turnaround with the main road in front of the school.

I'm guessing that in 'Too Smart for His Own Ed' the parents who came for the spelling bee probably had to park along the street or something, because the parking lot isn't big enough to fit that many cars. And where does the bus turnaround connect to the parking lot? I think I missed that.

And if you want, I can also participate in the EEnE discussions at The3Eds too, because I understand that it's more popular and visited the most. Though I actually prefer E2E, to be honest, things go too fast at T3E for me. DX

You can do whatever you want, I prefer E2E too. XP

It looked big enough in that episode to fit more cars than usual. I feel like there were more families there than there were cars, though. XD And the bus turnaround is like a cul-de-sac, so along the street part that leads to the circle part, there's a break in the sidewalk that allows cars to enter or exit the parking lot.

Yes, I know it seemed larger, but still, I figured not large enough to fit all those cars.

Another parking lot I'm curious about is the one seen in 'Run Ed Run' outside the Jawbreaker Factory. That's a very interesting parking lot, I think, too bad we don't see more of it. XP

If I remember correctly, some of the vehicles there are often parked at the school, which I thought was a nice detail because then those teachers would be the field trip's chaperones.

I also wish we could've seen more of the candy store's parking lot, which is in that episode as well... What other parking lots have we seen? I think they're all pretty interesting. I remember the hotels near Mondo-a-GoGo had parking lots, and of course Mondo had a big amusement park-style parking lot. And I think there may have been a parking space with no real details on it next to one of the cabins at Lake Garcia State Park. I can't remember if we saw any before season 5, which is probably part of the reason I feel like the show wouldn't have been nearly as fleshed out with season 5 adding all these details to PC.

Not only that, but remember, Kevin's dad works in the jawbreaker factory, so perhaps the reason one of those cars looks like one you see from the school, is because that's Kevin's dad's car. Kevin's dad might drop Kevin off at the school, unless Kevin rides the bus, and then go to work at the jawbreaker factory.

Hmm... What other parking lots have we seen... Well, I guess you could ask, where is the parking lot for the trailer park? I really can't tell where they park their cars. XD
