Hmm, this isn't so much of a rant at this point in time, but it could very well turn into one  Is it wrong that I find being around my mum (the only family I've got) more like work than 'family time/relaxing/other nice stuff you're supposed to feel around family'? She just acts like such a child sometimes, it's like I'm the parent figure of the house taking care of her. She complains about not having enough money, but she refuses to go out and get a damned job! I know I'm probably not supposed to feel this way about her; she's the only 'family' that I've got! But truth be told, I think of my friends more as family than her! 80% of my time is committed to devising a plan to get away from her, move out, not just out of her house, but out of the country I want to be that far away from her. We never talk, she never understands what I say or what I go through, she always adds a 'dirty' aspect to everything, it's disgusting! Am I a bad person for feeling so awful towards her? It's not that I don't try to make an effort to get along with her, but it just never works for more than a day! But I'm always nice to her, then when she gets in one of her 'moods', she says stuff like 'you've been bitchy for weeks, you're always yelling/crabbing/being bitchy etc etc' when I'm not! I hardly ever yell, unless she *is* in one of those moods and she's not listening. That's just me being defensive, not aggressive! That's when I get in a bad mood. That's when I get crabby. But she doesn't get that! I doubt she ever will. Aaarrrghh!!! *bangs head against desk* I can't stand it!AND she says stuff like 'oh you're an adult you're so mature blah blah.' but then she refuses to treat me like one and sets these riduculus rules that I am forced to follow! I can't even negotiate with her she's so close minded!!!   I hate it! Huh, I was right, that did turn into a rant. |

*huge hugs* to you Nienna. I'm sometimes in the same boat as you. I still live at home with me mum and yes she can be like how you've discribed your mum and i swear it drives me to utter madness, sometimes i just wanna shout at her but i know i can't as i know my mum, she's a sensitive person and i've seen her many times burst into tears... and so the conflict continues. she drives me mad, and when i do go off on one in the wrong manner as i'm frustrated because of it it gets to her and so then i feel guilt. N no doubt you feel the same. And of course we can't speak to them, as then again the guilt of blaming them in a way efects us and none of us wants that either. i think that there should be people out there to help us deal with our parents like what adults have to deal with their children. It's like the roles completly refervse and we're the adult and as our parents get so use to being like at home and that i think it makes things worse. With me and me mum it has gotten better... when she does get into one of those moods and i'm not excatly liking it i try and block it out or just join in and get it over and done with. its so much easier that way and ok even though i may get drowned with water... i know, thats how childish it can get... i'd prefer that to having arguments. also, this could help you also Nienna... spend more time with her, but invite her out with you. Just mention one day your thinking of going out and ask whether she'd like to join you? Just dont make it a big deal, if she says no, just leave it and go out. Also, maybe suggest for her to go and see any friends she has? I know with my mum she has one close friend and i do suggest she go and see her and go with her, then when this gets better she'll start going out on her own to her friends. If she says if you'll come either fake feeling ill, like time of month, or say you're thinking of cleaning the house while she's out. This is always good, and works with me. as when she does venture out i do tend to clean a bit as soon as she walks out the door and it gives you time to yourself and you can release your frustration into the cleaning. It helps me. Hope this helps ya Nienna. *hugs* its not wrong feeling like this, as like i said before its like the roles turn and its deff not wrong being like this. You just need to find ways of dealing with it and it'll take time like it always does, but it does get better. *hugs* |

Aww nienna you're not a bad person. I think most people go through phases like that with their parents. I did. Actually, it's gotten better for me in the last couple of years but sometimes I feel like I can't talk to my mum. It's not so much that i argue with her. I just kind of feel these awkward silences sometimes like I don't know what to say to her and she doesn't know what to say to me. I did argue loads with my mum and dad when i was like 14/15 but that stopped. The only thing I can say is hopefully it's just a phase and it'll get better as you get older. And when you do move out, things might change because you're not going to be in each others faces all the time. I think Geo gave good advice too. Hope it sorts itself out soon.

*giant huggles* Thanks you two, you've given me some great advice and stuff to think about. I'm making plans to save up some money so I can move out when I turn 19 (or 18, depending on where we move to next), so only a couple more years of torture to go hehe |

Me: 'It was probably our solicitor who called you. He's on the phone at the moment, would you like to hold?' Him: 'Unnghh' *he hangs up* Fuckin twat! Surely most people would just say 'Hi, I had a missed call from this number and wondered who it is?'. |

Don't read this if you eating breakfast or have a loose stomach. Anywho the past couple of days Oreo -my puppy- has had diarrhea from something I gave her to eat. For about 2 days now, which is a long time to have it for any animal. I think it was these Mint bones. It's only mint and other herbs put together. I THINK that treat acted like a laxative. yeah I'm never going to feed her those bones again. Yesterday when I came home it was EVERYWHERE. I keep Oreo inside her crate, so she had to lay in it for however long it took for me to get home. Hey it was either the crate or all over my carpet. So I freaked out and took her outside on her runner while I cleaned up the poo mess and took a sample to my vet, just in case she is really sick or she's allergic to something I give her to eat. Which is possible, dogs do have allergies to food. Need to know anyways so I don't keep feeding her the wrong things in the future hehe. and the sample.. So today I'm staying home. At 8am is her vets appointment -it's 502 right now hehe- Then I'm gonna come home and do some laundry and watch her carefully how she's feeling. I feel horrible for taking today off because it's already a 3 day weekend because of Memorial Day. It's like what my mom said, you try to determine what is best at the moment, then make a decision from there. It can either help you, or hurt you. I called in this puppy problem as a family emergency. They would fire me if I had said Puppy emergency lol. Now I have to come up with a story to tell by Tuesday. Hope she feels better, because I'm watching to see if she's feeling better. When it turns into a solid -not a liquid anymore- THEN I'll be able to sleep ![]() |

I swear if someone wanted children i'd tell them first to get a pup! They are just like children, maybe even more demanding, and deff need to be taken care off. Mel your doing the right thing, and for your reason to be off that day tell your boses thr truth... you had a diahirra problem... trust me, they don't need to know it was your dog who had it. just tell them that. its not lying. Hope she's doing better. |

Exactly. If anybody I knew that's my age wanted a baby, I'd tell them to get a puppy first. THEN see how much patience they will have as a parent with a human soul. Puppies are pretty darn demanding. At least with a baby, you have a few months of the tot not running around, not biting, and in one place. A puppy, they're ALL OVER and always have energy and always in trouble. Yeah I'd say get a puppy first, then see how you feel about the baby. |

My last day off before torture for 4 days! I'm soo bored. Wish I could find something to do. There are things I want to buy, but I don't feel like spending money the past couple of days. I'd get a heater blanket but those -even a cheap one- is about 150 dollars. I don't' have a 150 to just spend. I do, but I wont. My body could use some type of heater though, my hips hurt soo much..along with the rest of my body. I feel like I'm a 22 year old in a 70 year old persons body. |

I'm trying to use an icon that is less than 25, or even less than 10Kb and it's not working. Pixels are 100 by 100 like it asks. The icon should work, It's a .gif, less than 25KB and 100/100. The use icon i have used with the stars, that's 10.2KB and 100 by 100. The new icon i want to use is 10.0 KB and 100 by 100. it's two KB less than my other avatar and it's not working. Both .GIF Anybody know why it's not working?? I really would like to use another icon that is barely animated, but soo cute. Oh yeah, and Links aren't working either -photobucket links- The unloader isn't uploading the Icon I want, but only uploads my old icon in it's place -not named the same at all- nevermind. I think it was the link. Too long so it cut the Http off. Imageshack works a lot better if your gonna use a link for avatars. The link is a lot shorter

Drugs: I just found out a few days ago that this guy I went to school with died last week of a heroin overdose. He was only 20 and had his whole life ahead of him. Why do people do that to themselves? Something seriously needs to be done now. I swear, the amount of people I know whos lives have been ruined by drugs, or completely cut short, it's enough to put me off ANY drugs. Also this other guy I know who is in his 20s is now is disabled, can't walk, can't talk, can't do anything for himself because he took an overdose once. It is WRONG. It's all wrong. Why can't the government like really crack down on drug dealers or something? It's making me quite angry. And then there's all these twats like pete doherty & amy winehouse that are making drugs seem cool and glamorous. There's NOTHING glamorous about a mother having to bury her 20 year old son because he shot too much heroin into himself. I never used to care about people doing drugs but now...it's just making me sad. |
