I was going to put this under the humor thread but couldn't find it. I know this guy didn't think this was too humorous at the time but for lack of anyplace else to place it ...

So you thought YOU had a bad day at the office. OK, all you medics, top this one …
This is an actual emergency room photo of a fisherman who lost control of his High Speed Bass Boat in West Virginia.

The warden's believe that he was traveling at a speed of approximately 75 mph at the time of the accident. He was unable to negotiate a curve in the narrow waterway and unfortunately for him, upon striking the shoreline, he was ejected from the boat and landed on an old fence post. You can probably picture what happened next, but this photograph really says it all. The good news is after about 6 months, this man made a full recovery after suffering a shattered hip, broken leg, several broken ribs, internal injuries and soft tissue damage. The doctors credited his recovery to the fact that the post lodged itself so tightly that there was little or no blood loss.

Now, that's got to hurt!

It kind of gives new meaning to a 'woody'

:o

JohnnyReb,

I deleted my photoshop folder for that site, so the pictures were pulled by me.

Kathy said she thought mine was funny too before it was deleted. That sucker can 'damn America' and his old lady can speak about how ashamed she is of America but let an American say something PC Sensitive and you're wrong!!! Oh well ... its history ... they did what they felt they had to do and I did what I thought I had to do. Dixie!!! smiley-patriotic-flag-wave

The university of Arkansas have been researching the effects of metal flake in the jell coat that is used in bass boats. They have found that men rather than fish are attracted to the light that sparkles from the flakes. Scientists have also found that mixing sun, metal flakes and Budweiser can be fatal.

Idky,

I wish I had seen that study before I spent the $25 grand for my bass boat  I don't have it any longer but I upgraded from an 17'6" aluminum to a 19'3" fiberglass with sparkling metalflake

It was a real pretty Gambler w/150hp or 175hp motor, I can't remember which one. On pretty days when the Potomac River was super smooth I would crank it up for a long run. I usually leveled off around 70mph but would sometimes let it climb near 75mph. Then I would hit that durn ol' ripple and I can attest that the pucker power of a little ripple at that speed is tremendous. I would usually regain my sanity and return to fishing and not get foolish until the next pretty day on the Potomac when the metal flake was sparkling really, really good and the budweiser was iced down.
