We are currently under Tornado Warnings here. One is on the ground just North West of here around Pawhuska and we got another line of Storms just to the South West moving North East and somemore further West. The girls and I just finished praying and taking in some home made funnel cakes to mark the occasion. Looks like they are getting hammered in Kansas pretty hard too. Fixen to go to bed right after I take another look at the radar. If Mercy (the family dog) starts acting squirrly I will know to get up and take another look as she is the family storm detector and will get up in the bed and claw the stuffing out of me until I do. So if you read this tonight say a little prayer for us folks in Okie land, as for me I already have and now I am going to trust the LORD and go to sleep. |

I hope he's OK. I did hear on a special bulletin a while ago that 6 or 7 people had been killed by a twister in Arkansas. That might have been the same storm that put Oklahoma on tornado watch. |

I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you all, we are fine and the tornadoes all passed to the North and East of us. The reason it has taken me so long to get back to you all is that , I think a lightening strike must have hit my modem (yes we still have dinosaur dial-up but, that is going to change). I am posting from my Mother's house right now. The tornadoes that hit around here struck two little towns by the name of Blackburn and Pawnee and passed just to the Southwest of the County seat of Pawhuska but, GOD is good and we are safe and just got a little wind and a half inch of rain out of the deal but, we are praying for our neighbors who sustained property damage. I just imagine we will have some of them come in to the ministry for some help soon and they will be received with the loving arms of Christ. Thank you everyone, for your prayers and concerns the LORD has prevailed in keeping us safe once again.

Well, we have just suffered through another round of twisters but, the Lord continues to smile on us. So far we have had them on three sides of us and one came over the top of us that was not yet making contact with the ground. It twisted the tops out of some trees about 200 yds from the house. We still have not been able to fix our computer, the Ethernet service we are trying to get, has their service men out repairing stuff that was damaged in the Tornado stricken areas so they are running a little behind. I'll get back with ya'll as soon as possible. |

While all is well here the folks in Picher are still picking up the pieces. Our prayer go out to them. Last year we had six confirmed tornadoes in Oklahoma. This year we have already had 36 and the peak season isn't over until June 15. More storms predicted for tomorrow. At least we are not dealing with losses like happened in Burma and China in those catastrophic disasters. GOD still has his hand on this nation and I sure am glad. |

We had another close call last night, I woke up to hail hitting the west windows and a loud electrical storm about 12:30 am and shortly after that heavy rain and sixty mile an hour winds. One tornado was reported on the ground just to the Northwest of here but, again we escaped unscathed with a few more tree limbs down in the yard and few shingles of of the shop. |

GB, See what you can do about calming that weather down a bit. I'm headed out to KC next week on business and don't particularly want to see one of your brand of tornadoes. Y'all have them huge tornadoes ... they make the ones we have here look puny. |

I suppose this might be getting old to some but, I had to add this. After I wrote about the last storm and went and replaced the shingles on the shop, we had another line of storms yesterday that packed 80 mph winds and torrential rain. They moved through while we where in Church. When we returned another row of shingles where gone from the shop and the yard was cluttered with yet more tree limbs (between last winters icestorm and all the T-storms and near tornadoes the trees have taken quite a pruning). Also the Electric was off and they didn't get it back on until today about 3 Pm. Once again we escaped having major damage as so many where not as blessed, many places had major damage from straight line winds and huge softball sized hail. Oh well thank God spring will soon be over and then we will just have to deal with the heat. |

The words of Rosanna Rosanna Danna keep ringing in my ears ..."It's always something"! Seems like no matter what State we live in, there's always a 'piece' of the year we could live without! Between the ice storms and tornadoes, I can imagine you've had your fill, GB. |

Posted at 7:58 pm central time Ohh no, another line of storms. Watch it live here. For ya'lls info I live in the largest county called Osage that has the word Pawhuska on it, in the top right (northeast) in the southern part of the county. That storm is building and coming right down the alley. Please Pray , we don't need this at all http://www.newson6.com/Global/link.asp?L=292130 |

I flew int KC on Monday and while the pilot told us it was sunny and warm, when we deplaned it was raining and lightning. Tuesday night it was an awesome display put on by Mama Nature. I am on the 6th floor of my hotel and had a great view of the surrounding areas and the big sky ... it was one of the most impressive lightning displays I had ever seen!!! Y'all may have seen news about the 1.2million gallon gas tank that was hit and has been burning ever since. At one time my visibility dropped to about 500 yards because of the heavy rain ... |

Oh Lord, here we go again. The winds outside are cooking at about 40 right now with 60mph gust and we are still ahead of the line by about 30 miles right now. I am headed out to make room in the shop for my lil blue Dakota, incase it decides to drop them cannon ball hail stones again. Tonights Radar live http://www.newson6.com/Global/link.asp?L=292130 |

Last night we witnessed one of the most amazing occurrences we have ever experienced. The strong line of storms that where baring down on us dissipated and fell apart about 5 miles to the west of us. We got about 3/4 of an inch of rain and the wind almost completely stopped. Our GOD is good and had mercy on us. I have never seen such strong storms fall apart so fast. It is the times of deep crisis, grief and doubt that we need each other most. When circumstances crush us to the point that our faith falters, that's when we need believing friends the most. We need a small group of friends to have faith in God for us and pull us through.......Thanks be to the Father and all who prayed us through again.

To all, Ever since the miraculous storm break-up the other night, the weather has been good and we have had a chance to regroup and clean up some of the mess. Another miraculous thing is that our garden seems to have been spared any real damage and is really booming after all the rain ( last year we lost the entire crop due to to much precipitation, this year we have actually had more rain and wind) we are enjoying a good year with all the fresh lettuce, radishes, spinach , green onions and new potatoes. GOD is truly good. |
