I have always loved the oldies. When I first met Rick I remember a time he came to my apartment. I was blasting the 60s music. When I saw him pulling in the parking lot I turned that music down so fast . I guess I was embarrassed. Come to find out he listened to it also. He told me it brings back alot of memories especially when he was in Nam. These songs have special meaning to me also. Reminds me of my happier days . I'm happy now but I am sure you know what I mean. |

Durnit Sunshine, Why do you continue to do this to me. 'Sherry' by the Four Seasons was a wonderful experience shortly before I boarded a not so pleasant troop ship, bottom deck. She smelled wonderful and tasted better. The ocean spray was unique and oh so sweet ... there has never been anything like it ... On the other hand, the Fifth Dimension and AQUARIAS ... I have a learned hatred for that song. When I had returned from overseas and married my first wife, the woman who lived above us LOVED this particular song. She would blast it 24/7 and come out on the patio to dance ... or bend ... or writhe about in twisted fashion ... anyway, our patio's back then had large cracks in them and she didn't wear underwear?!?!?!?!? My bro's and I would eyeball whatever was there ... and she would finally spot us and call us all kinds of names. Hey, it was a public patio!!! At least my bro's liked it ... God bless you Sunshine ... I sure do love the music!!! HEY, I was in Westminster MD today facing the Women in Black and supporting our troops. On my way home I passed thru SUNSHINE MD!!! I had to chuckle at that but thought of you and wanted to give you a big hug so here ya go .... (((((((((((((((HUGGERS)))))))))))))))))))) |
