Ruler of the Mountain Posts: 1,565 Group: Member Member #102 Joined: December 1, 2006	Pete and I are wishing you all a very happy, loud, overstuffed Thanksgiving with your family and friends! For all the women here, I'll be up with you at six in the morning cleaning that still half frozen bird (I'll never figure out how long it takes one of those things to thaw!) Remember (because I once forgot) to pull out the neck in the front end and the giblets from the back end! Peeling potatoes and yams (finding a couple of those tiny marshmallows under the couch next Spring that kept the cats busy while you were preparing the bird!!) Hope you all can find a good station on the radio (play it low while everybody else is still sleeping!) while you're doing all this; and when it comes time for the pie(s) ....have a slice of each ... it will make you feel better when you find MORE dirty dishes in the sink the next morning!! As long as there is power in number, and we are gathered tomorrow with family and friends, let's all say a prayer for our troops and our Country! Happy Thanksgiving!

Ruler of the Mountain Posts: 2,458 Group: Member Member #31 Joined: September 7, 2006	Ali Last year I was in Iraq and eating in the chow hall (I posted pictures of it) this year I'm at home and have my friends in Iraq! I can see it and hear it in my wife voice she is very excited for this years thanksgiving! She said last year was just a sad thanksgiving, NOT THIS YEAR!!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Ruler of the Mountain Posts: 2,746 Group: Member Member #29 Joined: September 6, 2006	Ali, my radio was playing classic rock while I was prepping all the veggies for my Roasted Harvest Vegetable Medley, wow that's a mouthful! I'm going to my in-laws so I got off easy this year, that's the only dish I'm making and I'm bringing a pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin pie (Costco). Gary I'm glad your able to be home with your family this year. My cousin Michael is still over there on his second tour. He should be home in time for Christmas, God willing. God bless all the troops over there fighting for us. I hope everybody has a very Blessed Thanksgiving Day!
