My Pastor contacted me and asked me if I would like to read this prayer at church and I did. I wanted to share it with each and everyone of y'all. Righteous God, you rule the nations. Guard brave men and women in military service. Keep our children from hate that hardens, or from scorekeeping with human lives. Though for a season they must be people of war, let them live for peace , as eager for agreement as for victory. Be with our veterans. For those in pain whether that pain is physical or pain from memories Provide your deep healing spirit to them. For those who have become our wandering homeless help them find peace and a place to be where love abounds. Be with the families of our children in military service and those who have completed their service. Help them develop a spirit of understanding and support. Especially be with the families of those who have paid the ultimate price. Let your healing love sooth them and bring them peace . Encourage them all as they encourage one another , and never let hard duty separate them from love and loyalty to your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. |
