"I don’t intend for students to burn either the Constitution or the flag, and over the years hundreds of students have understood that," Grosswiler wrote.

In his e-mail Friday, Grosswiler, who is a former BDN employee, explained that he refers to provocative examples, such as flag burning, to demonstrate the courage necessary to support free expression.

"If they don’t tolerate thought that they hate, they don’t believe in the First Amendment," he wrote.

I read the whole linked article and find that spokesman Carr and prof. Grosswiler have something in common with other colleges.

They very much appear to be PC and are probably hiding(trying to) a lot.

As far as free speech on many colleges it is free speech for whom they choose to let have free speech, leftists, Islamofascists including the Iraniac, but when it comes to Ann Coulter she got a pie thrown at her was mostly ducked and it mainly missed her, the leader of the Minutemen he got yelled down and there was some potential for violence shown by the free speech loving students, David Horowitz when at college to do the Fascism Awareness he too got yelled down and wasn't allowed to speak.

Those are just off the top of my head, there are many more attacks by so called free speechers.

It appears that the college administration and profs of many colleges do more to get and allow in the folks they want and protect them and do the opposite for others.

I'll end with that.

Freedom of Speech is important - I guess you can pay up to $30,000 or more to "learn it" these days! .....Or you can pay nothing, and have Freedom of Thought! (Your very own!)
