Did any of you hear about the new drug they're calling cheese? From what I heard it's heroin and it's priced at $2 per high so it's the price of lunch money and affordable for the little kids!!! Guess where it's coming in from? MEXICO!!! We have got to secure the boarders!! Guest worker programs are fine, but we have got to stop the drugs coming in. |

Sibs, You HAVE got to spend more time here. I've missed you!!! Anyway, cheese has been around for a few years, hadn't heard about it coming from Mexico but it may. Its kind of a mixture of heroin and tylenol but not sure how it is ingested. |

Hadn't heard of this before Sibs. I found an article about it on ask.com just now. Pretty scary stuff. They say that kids as young as nine year's old have tried it. Awful sad. |

SP, thanks. Things are settling down here a bit. I do have a job when the company I work for goes out of business. I can't wait!! I am so tired of working for them. There was a story on the news last night about this "new drug". They said it hadn't hit our area of the country yet, but they did say it was coming thru Mexico. They also said the drug dealers were using illegals to smuggle it into the country. I'll look at the website for the station that had the story and see if they have the something I can post. The way the story went last night they are specifically pricing it to be affordable to the middle school age children. That just makes me MAD!!! Ali, it is very sad and it makes me very mad. Here's the link, I hope It works and I don't screw it up! http://www.myfoxkc.com OK, the link thing didn't work, but if you go to the myfoxkc.com website and do a search for cheese you can find the articel. |

Wow, at $1-$2 a pop that could take over America in a very short while ... then come the variants ... No matter where it comes from, they need to exercise a no-tolerance attitude toward those involved. |

I watched a show not long ago about ecstasy. (The happy little pill that looks like a Sweet Tart and has a smiley face on it). They showed what it does to the brain. It leaves a big old hole in it. Much like Altziemer's Disease. It makes me scared to think that we will soon be living in a world with 30 year olds in nursing homes. |

Ali, that is right and very scary. This cheese stuff is addictive as heroin. How about living with a bunch of 13 year olds addicted to heroin? |

I couldn't imagine it! I couldn't deal with it it. I stay at a distance and sew 'shuffle bags' for foster children. (Between me and God!). I wish like crazy I could have the right words to say...I wish I had the knowledge and strength. I have two children of my own - 20 and 23 - but still, I worry. None of us are unaffected by the sadness and worry this brings to all of us. This is your job Sibs? (I'm sorry if I didn't understand). If I can do anything, please let me know. I'm better at being a 'hug' than at words. |

My grandsons were here when that story came on the news. I made them sit down and watch it so they would know what it really is if, God forbid, they ever see it. I heard it was coming from Mexico too. I think most of the heroin in this area does. There are so many reasons to secure the border and this is another example of how at risk we are from our "friendly" neighbors to the south. |

Naw, but for the last couple of months I wasn't sure I was going to have a job between now and the end of the year cause they're selling the company I work for and it will be run out of another city. I just found out that the "partner" company in the office is taking me with them!! It's a good solid company and since I do all their bookkeeping I know they take care of their employees. i couldn't be happier! Stress level went way down too

Sibs, Your link worked for me. I took the liberty of posting the article here; Cheese Heroin Killing Teens at Alarming Rate Last Edited: Tuesday, 16 Oct 2007, 6:05 AM CDT Created: Tuesday, 16 Oct 2007, 6:05 AM CDT Cheese Heroin is killing America's youth at an alarming rate. SideBar Related Items Videos ( folks you will need to visit the link to see the related Items and the vidoes-Duke) It's cheap, addictive and deadly. It's called 'cheese heroin' and it has already killed a number of teens in Dallas. And the epidemic is spreading across the nation, including Kansas City. They call it cheese. It's Mexican black-tar heroin mixed with Tylenol PM, and it's killing kids at an alarming rate. "It's a marketing approach there," said James Capra with the DEA. "'Look I got a little powder, it looks funny, it's got a funny name, it's $1 or $2, go ahead try it, how harmful can that be?'" Very harmful. In less than two years, at least 24 Texas children have died from snorting it. And those lucky enough to survive become instant heroin addicts. The scariest part is just how young they are. Fernando Cortez learned about cheese heroin the hard way. His 15-year-old son went to a friend's house one night and tried it. "I get the call at 11 in the morning telling me my son is dead," Cortez said. "I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it." "It's a terrifying thing to know that people are out there giving these things to kids. And they don't care. My world's been turned upside down. "He was a good kid, well mannered, well liked and loved. I love him and I miss him. I'll never be the same." Diane Jackson's son, Carter, had already enlisted in the Marines and was planning on leaving right after high school graduation. "He was a great boy," she said. "He was 18 years old, a senior in high school on the wrestling team." But then he sniffed cheese. "It put his body into multi-organ failure and from there he died," Jackson said. Most parents don't find out until it is too late. Carlos Quintanilla is a parent turned anti-"cheese heroin" activist, fighting to spread the word to other parents and students. "They put the cheese in the paper and fold it up and when parents see it they think it is a note from a teacher or homework assignment or something very innocent," said Quintanilla. "They have it in their pocket nobody thinks that inside piece of paper is black tar heroin. The first time they use it they say hey man this is cheese its very innocent don't worry it only has 5 percent a very little amount of heroin the rest is Tylenol. So you think you are snorting Tylenol. But that 5 percent of heroin is so addictive that the next day you are craving it, so for $2 a child will become a heroin junky for the rest of his life." "The community needs to look out and say oh my God, there really are people out there who have no regard for human life, no regard for justice, no regard for anything except to make a profit on the backs of young kids getting addicted to heroin," James Capra said. "We have some of these kids who are using it and trying it and dying. There's no ok one or two or three times they die. We have some instances where kids are snorting the drug over dosing and dying. Period. good night." Currently, cheese is not a major problem in Kansas City, but drug agents said it could be just a matter of time. " I add this; With the growing numbers of militant gangs like MS-13 spreading ever further into more states, and with other existing drug dealers already in place and the desires of people who already use drugs along with those that are curious enough to use drugs if offered to them, no it will obsolutely not take long before "Cheese" is spread all over the U.S. Crack cocaine and many other drugs got a small start, but grew in wide availability rather quickly, the dealers in place do not take long to get their hands on anything new and sell it along with whatever they do already. Thanks, Duke |

There is also another deadly variant known as "QUICK".. Its mixed with Strawberry Nestle Quick to improve taste and can be taken orally directly and is absorbed even faster and less diluted.. The PRETTY PINK color and the sweet taste of it makes it even more potentially deadly than CHEESE.. Without the bitter taste of the Tylenol PM that CHEESE has, QUICK makes it more likely that kids wont be so reluctant to take a second dose of it and makes it more likely that the very first time they use it, THEY O.D. !! I could hang 2 or 3 of these dirtbags makin and sellin this stuff a day and still sleep perfectly fine at nite !! They can build the Border Fence but unless there are deadly consequences the dirtbags will still find a way to get their product into the U.S. and into the hands of the kids.. I dont wanna see these dirtbags just deported only to resupply and make another trip north.. I want the SOBs swangin for all the rest of em to see it !! And if killin your kids aint enuff to make people feel the same way, I dont know what would.. |

I hear ya WB. We hear too often about the rights of drug dealers or drug users who commit crimes against humanity. It sometimes seems those tasked with carrying out the rule of law is only concerned with doing that against the innocent or the enforcers (i.e. the border patrol agents in AZ) I tend to agree with your assessment of how to deal with them. After all, like the old TV commercial sez, "Pay me now or pay me later" |

Its just a HARD SELL to people tho, TD.. Specially when they see good people get drug thru the coals like the old dude in Dallas did, or Compean and Ramos, or the folks gettin sued at the Minneapolis airport by the Flyin Imams, or the rancher on the Texas border that lost his ranch for runnin a bunch of illegals of it.. They tried to get us a VICTIMS BILL OF RIGHTS passed, but guess who shot it down ?? If the liberals aint able to give away all our possessions and holdins, then they will at least try to make it easier for the dirtbags to just steal it !! The Legal System is OVERprotectin the criminals and leavin us decent citizens UNprotected.. While the cops are busy tryin to keep the rival drug gangs from killin each other, some poor schmucks leavin work are gettin raped, robbed, or beaten to death by REPEAT OFFENDERS.. The liberals solution is to form Victims Treatment Centers and send the offenders to some Crimal Rehab Meetins.. Most of the staff at the Treatment and Rehad Services are liberals.. Its kinda like JOB SECURITY for them !! I subscribe to Mr. Walton of Dallas' form of security.. And no treatment for me and no rehab for the dirtbag.. I can live with that !! |

Which is what you probably had read from me before. The Dems are experts at dealing in the past and know nothing of moving forward. I think you and I would have a heck of a time at a BBQ ... I look forward to it!!! |
