True heroism by many of our people on this day in Afghanistan ... 1 GI takes an RPG to his hip. He is cared for by his bro's until the choppers arrive. Medivac'ed when all they know is he could explode at any moment. Taken to the operating table in the aid station and operated on by a team to remove the RPG. Very poignant story and told truthfully without fear of being called sissy for being scared. God bless them all!!! Heroism in action |

Just like you said Dawg, there's no dishonor in being scared, it enhances your senses... It sure enhanced their senses. It gave them courage to do such a selfless act and the precision and clarity of mind to do it safely. Thank God for people like that! That is truly an amazing story of heroism! |
