We've been slippin' on this thread.....

The Pack took her on the chin last week after some pretty ROTTEN calls by the refs, I've come to the conclusion of the below.....

Posted Image

The PACK is for real....they gave them Cowboys and their paid off ref's a run for their money, and just cleaned the clock off the Raiders.....giving them the Central Division North place as CONFERENCE CHAMPS with at least a few games left to go.

FAVRE ROCKS!!!!!

Okeedokee folks, I don't follow football too closely any longer since Norv Turner was hired as coach of the Redskins a few years ago. Before that I was an avid fan ... NOTHING could get in the way of my football. Those were the days Vince Lombardi coached the 'Skins, then George Allen and the Over the Hill Gang, then Joe Gibbs. Tonite I'm again watching Joe Gibbs 'Skins defeat the Cowboys (ooooRAH) and once again entering the playoffs. I don't believe they will go all the way but it IS nice to have one of my teams in the playoffs!!! I do like Joe Gibbs!!!

This year is extra special because I spent my high school years in Hawaii and attended the University of Hawaii for a short time prior to enlisting in the Army for Vietnam. I also played football for U of H, who at that time were the U of H Rainbows. We had green uniforms, white/green helmets, and the shoulders of our jersey's had multi-colored stripes on them (think Rainbows). No ... there wasn't any gay connection to the rainbow in them days. Now my former team is undefeated for the season and still has no respect from the MSM ... BUT they are in the Sugar Bowl to be played on New Years Day and the QB was 3rd in voting for the Heisman trophy. Yuppers, I will be in front of the TV and rooting just like I was 18 years old again. Only this time it will be the same school but new name ... U of H Warriors!!!

Go Warriors Defeat Georgia!!!

OOORRAAHHH is right!

Was hoping those skins would cream those Cowboys.

WOW TD, didn't know you played some college football, too - you ARE a man of MANY talents! Yep, bets of luck to your U of H! And the Redskins.....unless of course they're playing the Packers :P

Glad they wiped them Vike's out of the playoffs, too. Looks like them Vikes took themselves out with a loss to Gary's Bronco's, too.

The three favorite teams are:

The PACK :banana-man:

anyone pounding the Cowboys :banana-man:

and anyone pounding the Vikes :banana-man:

Looks to be allot of fun for the Playoffs this year.....and hoping the Pack makes it to the NFC championships to get the Cowboy monkey off their backs.

CW,

I'll return your generosity and root for the Pack until they play the Skins. I don't believe we'll go the distance but I never discount a Joe Gibbs Team and they ARE playing pretty durn good right now ... peaking at the right time.

Believe me, from the old days I understand what you are saying about Dallas!!! I sorta sold out during a weak moment though. A few years ago I was doing some work with a local police department and they had 'connections' at Dallas Stadium. We ended up getting personalized tours of the Stadium including the locker rooms (yes even the cheerleaders room but unfortunately none of them were there at the time) ... we got to walk from the locker rooms through the tunnel and onto the field. Its really an awesome stadium and the people were first rate ... but I still will not root for the Cowboys!!!

Here I am on the Dallas Star at the middle of the field ...

Vote for BRETT FAVRE for NFL Player of the Week HERE.......

I have no clue why Ryan Grant was not on the listing for Running Back. :breakcomp: He is #2 behind Tomlinson for rushing yards in the NFL this year, and his performance today was PURE maturity. After fumbling twice and coming back to run over 200 yards for the day, shows he is pure heart and should AT THE LEAST be a nominee....

Favre is a tough cookie, I would love to see the Pack go all the way just so Brett could say he did it again at his age. He looks like a twenty year old when he comes off the center at the snap. Amazing

I cannot think of TWO better teams to be playing in the NFC Championships.....

you have two teams that are the "Rodney Dangerfields" of the NFL - they get "NO RESPECT" from anyone. The Pack has fewer Pro-Bowl players than its counterparts to the west who aren't even in the playoffs - the Vikings :breakcomp:

It don't matter who's more popular - all that matters is who wins the game!

And that was proven both yesterday AND today!

Good job Giants - you played your hearts out!

Oh man it was so intense watching that game yesterday, especially with Ladanian Tomlinson and Philip Rivers out, but our back up players knew how to smiley-git-r-done !

It was a lot of fun around this town yesterday. Everyone was out in their front yards and out in their cars hoopin and hollerin and showin our pride! smiley-cool-party

CW, Congrats to you too! It could be the Chargers vs Packers....I can't wait!

CW,

Sorry for your teams loss dude but they had one hell of a run!!! I think the SuperBowl will be one heck of a game this year, for a change.

PS: you know my wife is from NY so you can imagine who she rooted for. She asked me before the game ...   ... I told her I could NEVER root for anything or anybody from NY.

It seems you and I were on the same side again ... and I'm in the dawg house still ...

Well, this season is over.....

Congrats to the Giants.

I'm glad the Super Bowl was a good game and that the Giants won.

This should leave the Pack fans feeling pretty good after being out of this Super Bowl by a field goal in overtime.

And the NY fans should be quite proud of their team - who was another team that just got no respect through the season.

Sometimes its just good to see the underdogs come out ahead once in awhile......

Did the Superbowl leave your wife feeling a little better and let you out of the DAWG House?

   I told her I had to root for the Pats only because she was from NY. But whenever NY had a good play I was letting out a loud cheer ... I think she realized I had to maintain loyalty to the NFC East.

I was getting pretty used to the dawg house but it was nice to sleep in my own bed again ...

I am the only I know who was rooting for the NEW YORK Giants! I knew I should have put money on it! My kids who hate the Giants were even pretty amazed at what they pulled off in that last couple of minutes. Great finish!

I agree LL, GREAT FINISH!

One of the better finishes to a Super Bowl ever.

I didn't think that Manning kid was for real, but he proved me and I think allot of other people wrong. I just hope he doesn't become a great big ham like his brother is.

I'm pretty lucky as far as football goes - as long as I root for the Pack, the wife doesn't send me off to the dawg house........Lord knows I spend enough time with the mutts in their house for other reasons...... smiley-bowdown

A LEGEND retires

Historical Pics

Although I feel thankful of all the FANTASTIC years, and am happy for Brett.....it is still truly a sad day in sports history.

This man was truly the MEANING of sports and probably would have payed to play the game.

Green Bay will miss him, and his family dearly.

GOD BLESS YOU BRETT FAVRE!
